A) I wasn't aware the Nazis treated it like a race.

B ) Your example argues that Nazis were racist. It doesn't say anything about the signaller guy.

Yeah, the Nazi's were really keen on scientific racism (along with many others). This included attempting to identify the racial characteristics of Jews (through phrenology and other such ideas), and to pass laws codifying pseudo-scientific ideas about race. For example, this chart explaining the Nuremburg laws shows where people fit on the spectrum from German Blood (left), across "mixed blood", towards Jewish (right), based on their ancestry. Rassenschande (racial shame) laws were passed, punishing sexual relations between Aryans and non-Aryans.

As for B, I think the comment was in very poor taste, but I wasn't really trying to address signaller guy in my comment about Nazi racism. I was simply pointing out that I think it's possible to be racist towards a group regardless of whether we consider that group a race.

I'd apologize for the derail, but I don't want to.

So.

Hey, at least it's a semi-active day 1 now, eh?

There are excellent historical reasons why it's always Fener, but they all boil down to 'the pig cannot be trusted'

So, to try and be a bit more mafia centric, what made you think 'signalling' when you saw Emur's post, Telas?

It was the just randomness of that comment. I mean, if you make it more subtle somehow, it'd be a way to signal, it's just so random and outrageous that it stands out.

I don't really think it's a signal. More frankly, I really wanted to call out something I found outrageous and beneath this group of people.

Fair enough. Figured I'd ask because it didn't really strike me that way, can't really see anyone saying that as a deliberate tactic.

If anything it got the thread talking, i mean people have been lynched for other things just as stupid.

Besides that, there isn't really anything to say.

Yeah, activity is always some use.

I'm going to:

Vote Anomandaris

For posting just to say "I'm not getting involved with this discussion"...why so wary?

Some clarification info for everybody:

Scenes will describe action with flowery language, but the underlying message will be battle information. Therefore, scenes should be read for info.

Victory Condition is simple : your side wins the battle.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

But would a signalling post be outrageous? its Day 1, everybody will jump on the slightest thing like Sharks on blood. It actually reads more like a Symp distracting from an actual signalling post, except are there any symps?

And so begins the Day 1 pastime, speculating on mechanics. If we go with your logic in assuming that the symp is that smart, wouldn't whoever they're symping be smart enough not to signal? And if they did signal, wouldn't the more obvious distractor lead us to look for less obvious signalling? I have no answer's I'm just tossing questions out there.

Let me interpret:

The silvery metal toaster, silently sitting on the side of the road, was feeling unwell. Along came General Tsoast, with his battalion of spiced meats and rice.

"What gives you the right to sit on the side of the road Toaster. This is a public way, and not for vagabonds!"

The silvery metal Toaster responded, "I'm resting General. It's been a very warm day around here."

You misread that conversation. It wasn't the "signalling" I found outrageous. Done talking about it.

Symps in a faction game? Possible.

Beyond that pretty much everything else on the first page reads like ordinary banter, which within this context could be used to implicate all sorts of things if you're in the habit of grasping for straws.
