D'rek is joking about the ridiculous size of the Orcs, not actually asking for the background story of them.

If you think about it, the way the orcs are shown in this trailer, actual military opposition to them would be pretty dire. An orc that looks like the size of a house would plow through human ranks like the soldiers were toddlers on an American football field.

well they always were taller and bulkier then humans (whom were almost made to be pretty big IRL.

Humans relied on a coalition between a number of races who would bring in things like explosives n MAGICCCC to even the field.

I'm fairly sure D'rek was tilting a well pointed lance at the ridiculous disparity in size between genders, such that the orc ladies seem to be delightfully pretty human lady proportions, and thus feed the fettished gazes of the target audience.

After playing Diablo 3 I sort of came to the conclusion that the company doesn't really give a fuck about writing.

At first I was upset there was no necromancer, but after I played it I was actually grateful it won't be associated with pixie dust. RIP. Then I heard that some important peeps from D2 left the team so maybe the juice is gone. Heck, bearing this in mind, screw the dialogue, that's a game for architects! (buildings and settings are a masterpiece)
Should we contemplate the possibility of a movie too? Only if it's porn with Deckad Cain and Tyrael.

Im.quite the opposite.
I hope Im wrong but I think its going to be a stinker, and knock studios confidence in the genre and as such, back bench any better ideas or ips, or worse, give uwe boll a chance to gobble up some more ips and ruin

Yeah, from what I've seen this will kill any other game/movie aspirations, at least within the fatasy genre.

I've seen it, and I liked it. The plot wasn't that hard to follow even though I haven't played any of the Wow games. They have likeable characters on either side, and I really dug Durotan! I'm really interested in what they'll do next. I heard rumours this will be a trilogy?

The CGI works, the Characters aren't too bad Durotan and Medivh work well. Points for having avoided the one side is good and the other evil. For that it is a little slow and dull. The actors playing Garona and Khadgar are just woeful.

Worth watching if you have an afternoon to kill.

I saw the movie with some friends a few days ago

Aesthetically, it was amazing. Everything else thouigh was meh.

That forced roamnce... (that wasn't even in the lore) or the bad dialogue/delivery of bad dialogue....

SOOOOOO bad.

It was an ok movie. Considering how horrible most video game movies are, this one is actually good.

Finally saw this tonight, and going in with next to no knowledge of the series, and lowered expectations, I had a blast. This is a really well assembled movie, with pretty spectacular mocap and effects, well directed and edited. There are a couple of mildly hinky performances...but otherwise this is FAR better than the critics would have had us believe.

I'd be really psyched to see a sequel now, since all the ground work has been laid.

If you've not seen it yet, give it a chance. A fun popcorn fantasy movie!

Very much agree with this! I played every single Warcraft game (and currently play World of Warcraft too) and I still thought this was an extremely well done movie, even if it was a story those of us who grew up with Warcraft knew fairly well.

Of course there will be more movies. I quite liked it but for the huge changes in the lore. Else, it was enjoyable. Still, the lore... Gnah.

What are these big changes to the lore you speak of? Admittedly lore was never my strong suit when it came to Warcraft (I'm in it for the gameplay bruh) but I thought the story was pretty spot on!

For instance, Garona was half Draenai, not half Human and half Orc. And she was magically controlled by Guldan and thus had killed *** (no spoilers,eh?).
Else, Medhiv was decapitated originally by Lothar, his friend.

There are quite a few changes, you can look up some nice youtube vidz about the lore change or just look at the wowwikia.

Actually, they never specify what half Garona is in the movie other than Orc (she jus says she's cursed and her mother should not have had her and the orcs shun her)...and it's been noted that she stands with the captured Draenei at the beginning of the film alluding to her connection to them.

You are right about Garona, it was wrong in the book for the movie. And no direct mention in the movie.

So was cgi fixed for final? That 1st trailer looked horrid cgi wise.

Most of it looked pretty good actually. A few shots in the movie are still kind of crappy, but overall I thought it looked fine.
