Hello everyone
After some years of setting aside my hobbies, I've recently return to fantasy genre (among others), and so, I discovered "Malazan Book of the Fallen" for the first time. Before I heard about it, but have never read - until this month, when I read GOTM and DG, bought whole series and become absolutely addicted to the Erikson's world I think the last book which left me so bewitched was "Dune", years ago. And maybe "Tigana". As far as I read until this moment, I think MBOTF is one of the greatest fantasy series ever written - and I suppose will become one of my favourites, definitely. Yesterday I finished reading DG and I am still recollecting some scenes (which was quite disturbing at work ).
What more? I'm 27, from Poland (reading MBOTF in Polish).
Now I am really excited to find this forum

Welcome, Caira! Glad to have you here. I hope you end up enjoying the rest of the books as much as you enjoyed the first two (I'm sure you will, cuz they only get better!).

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Welcome!
Try not to make 10 posts a week. We start getting worried when you are posting more than Worry.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

But we need new voices! My shtick is stale and predictable.

You sure it's not an actual dune?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Erm, no. Just click on the reply button for the relevant post that you want to reply to, and add your text in the big white box after the text of the person you are replying to (i.e. the stuff between <quote> marks).

Oh dear. Is this the first forum you've posted to?
When you hit the 'reply' button, a big white box opens. Inside that box will be the text of the person who you want to reply to, surrounded by two "quote" captions. Simply type your reply in that same box, straight after the quoted text.
