I think in DnD mages have a silence spell. Though I must admit all I know of it comes from Baldur's gate 2. So based on that, and the "magical whisper on the wind" bit, I assume we're dealing with a wizard. I'm doubtful that there is a rolled neutral player, unless it is a cleric of some sort. Take this from the opening scene:"Five members of each faction to prove their worth. Five members’ lives to decide the fate of their entire faction’s influence on these planes. A Cleric oversees the agreement, and binds them magically to follow these rules!"Five members, three factions, and a cleric. I assume the cleric is PS.
Yeah I was going off the sign up thread but I actually didn't think to look back at that PS update. I'm not sure what to think of this.

So to conclude
we have more accounts than there are players
we have vote tampering
at least one person has a silence

I was thinking the same. Are they being deliberately obtuse or have they just not read thread? "Discovering" something that someone else has already pointed out is potentially setting themselves up later in the game with a little distance from the fake alts.

Checking in. I see shenanigans are underway. As an aside, I've never played tabletop D&D. I prefer my board games of the short variety.

I haven't played D&D either. Probably a Wizard-powered spell?
The mere fact it says "magical whisper" rather implies a specific faction.
Back in the days of my youth I played AD&D 2nd Edition. I still have a few character sheets somewhere I'm sure.

I've not played D&D either. Yet it looks like a fun game when they play it on Big Bang Theory. I don't have the types of friends that would play this type of game. I do meet up once a month for a game night though. I wouldn't know where to begin asking to play one of these types of games.

Voteless because the votes to lynch is lower than it should ostensibly be, I presume?
Why couldn't they just as easily be magical illusions, or barbarian...wolf pets, or a myriad other things?

It could be literally anything.
Im just saying what I would bet on if I had to, I dont think we need list of all possibilities.
Maybe even something like Mirror image from WoW as a special leaders/elite member spell. But I find it unlikely due to fact one would have to control too much alts.

Well, I don't have a lot of experience with D&D, but I do remember something about familiars for sorcerers/wizards. That could be another explanation for the extra alts.
However, my total experience in role-playing sums up to one session of D&D, as the group disintegrated before the second session. The main thing I got out of it was practice for my wood crafting, for which my talents proved to be non-existent. (After carving away too much wood to correct errors I ended up with, well, basically thin poles with caricature heads.) So, basically, I can't really help much with the role-playing analysis.

No roleplaying experience with D&D and not much with other systems at all. It's all irrelevant anyway as we're playing faction mafia with hit points. As such, what's ability analysis going to tell us? There's a thousand ways Blend can put a single ability into mafia. The only way we'll find out is when someone accidentally spoils an ability - not very likely on day 1 of a faction game. Time honored tradition is that everyone except Tattersail is so busy looking unobtrusive that there might as well be no talk whatsoever "because the game is decided off-thread".
Except of course it isn't.

As for the voting mechanic... I seriously doubt there are 4 voteless accounts. Rather, I think each player can vote once - regardless of the alt they vote from. Allows a bit better hiding options.
