What? I figured it would be Harrington, Dixion, Mariota or some such crap.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Ahhh no. I am interested in watching mariota play but I have no allegence once they leave duck country.

I like watching Russell play, but I am not a fan of luck and there isn't a young QB in the nfl that I really want to watch.

Luck's flip-phone and neard are too cool for you anyways.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Nah, I have full faith in Teddy B now that AP will be there, automatically given TB extra time to throw the ball, and if I have to explain why he'll have more time to throw the ball then you'really going to be severely disappointed.

AP opening up the play action for TB by being a RB with a huge chip on his shoulder and you know who wants to destroy yards per game just because they made him sit out last year over a BOGUS fucking charge.

Yes, fear the AP, fear the TB, and fear another player I'll name at a later date.

I'm digging both Vikings.

Defense in the 7th?

Tatts you nut.

Ha! I wanted them and couldn't be sure they'd be there when it come back round to me. I'm looking at you Twelve/Brujah

You're going to be condemned to scour the waiver wire for RBs, I guess.

Brown - Cobb - Jeffery - Blount - Yeldon - Tannehill - Seahawks...

Your lineup would imho look so much better with Charles or Lacy instead of Brown.

Last year I picked McCoy as the number 1 pick and he under performed every game.

I looked at the last 2 years (of my selection and tactics)and the top ranked players didn't turn out to as well as they should.

Did you look at the reasons for them turning out like that? Because Brown had a career season in 2014 (most volume, most total yards and a ridiculous # of TDs), much like McCoy's 2013.

Brown's breakout season was easily predictable, thus the reason I picked him round 2 last year. The man is an athlete that most people have no idea just how.....what's the word.....immaculate his total game is. He has the agility, stregth, speed, vision, hands, yards after catch, etc....in a combination that no other WR possess. Plus AB does this as a short guy. ANY WR you'd say is better that AB over all is only even being considered because of the extreme height advantage the new WR possess.

Pound for pound, AB has no equal.

Oh, he's amazing, no denying that. And last year, he was a steal in fantasy, too.

But the fact remains that last year's # of TDs were nearly half the sum of his career total, at roughly the same yards per catch as his already awesome 2013 (100 targets, 8 TDs). The volume increase was perhaps partly because Sanders went to Denver (who is still one of my favorite selections of last year :-))

For Brown to be worth selecting for Tatts instead of Lacy, Charles or Bell, Brown needs to replicate or outdo last season, especially in TDs. With someone who converts 1 in 3 red zone targets to a TD as opposed to 1 in 2 for Bryant and say, Julio Jones, that's hard.

Alright, the quotes are getting embedded like Tatts at a Live Mafia sleepover.

Anyway. This applies to an answer to one of Tatts posts and continues talking about Antonio Brown to Tapps.

View PostTattersail_, on 10 August 2015 - 03:10 PM, said:

You two just made me feel a lot better although I had a sneaky feeling he'd have an awesome year. Before drafting begun I was dead set about my wr wr wr qb first 4 picks. I'm thinking any of the remaining qbs can do a job.

There's so much talent further down the draft this year. Torrey smith for example did me good last but he's not even projected that well.

What I didn't realise last year was how the lower picks will affect the season.

Anyway I have no one else to talk to about NFL as no one I know watches it.

Focusing on WRs with my early picks worked out well for me last year. Especially Antonio Brown.

Last year,A. Brown should have been the highest ranking WR on the board . I couldn't believe I was able to grab both him and Jordy Nelson with my 2nd and 3rd picks. I'd picked Adrian Peterson in round one so I thought I was destined for a win. Then the Adrian Peterson thing blew up in my face , but I bet Peterson puts up 2200 yards this year just because he's pissed off over last year and has more to prove than anyone.

Dude is going to stud it up and show the Vikings what they missed out on. I'd have taken him at 6, not that there was any chance he would have still been there. KL made a great pick there.

But I digress. I was talking about how last year everyone should have realised just how good AB was and how high on the draft he should have been.

Have you guys seen that clip with...........damn.....who's the guy talking about Antonio Brown.

Anyway, he starts off by mimicking his calls to Brown, and I'll put Antonio Brown's, who I'll call AB, answers in quotes.

So He calls AB and is like, Yo AB, what you doin'? "Working out." What time is it "6am"

Another call, Yo AB what you doin'? "Working out."What time is it "Noon"

Another ring, AB man, what you doin'? "Working out." What time is it "Midnight."

I can't for the life of me recall who it was saying this but it's during those ESPN shows the greatest players 100 to 1 based on the players votes themselves and the previous seasons results. Antonio Brown is THE hardest working WR in the NFL.

AB showed in 2013 that he was a future stud of studs. Highlights of his catches, his yards after catch, his everything, the dude had it all, but the Steelers also had Emmanuel Sanders. Yeah, yall know that guy and what he did at Denver. As SOON as Sanders was fine and there was no immediate stud pick up, (pls let me toot my own horn here, because I was wrong just as much about other players as I was right), but with no Sanders, I KNEW AB blows it up in 2014.

With that said, Matavius Bryant in middle round could be one of the best picks given round picked. I just don't know what Marcus Wheaton will do, but Bryant is the better athlete hands down. I would have taken him next round myself, and almost this latest round , but I'm working from a very odd strategy.

Last year, Jordy Nelson was a given for a top 5 WR, IMO, so me thinking I had Peterson at RB, Brown and Jordy at WR, Martellus Bennett at TE who did amazing too, and Frank Gore running with Peterson, and I thought I had a good chance.

I finished 2nd place regular season, and first over all, and I owe it to grabbing Justin Forsett from wire.

RG3 as QB was an obvious bust, but Kapaernick actually pulled through in wins over Andrew Luck and Payton Manning for the Tropjy.

Just been reading threads and I realized I wasn't being vocal at all.

I actually feel like talking about this years picks so far, and will do so.

To be honest I wanted to pick the best WR then another Elite WR IN my first picks knowing most would grab RBS. I didn't look THAT much into it. I enjoy reading both of your responses as it makes me understand things that little bit more.

I've just been reading about what a tight end is and how they are utilised. After the read I thought that a basketball player would fit the profile. If your 7 ft tall or more then you have an obvious advantage with arm span and reach. Maybe speed will let you down but isn't that why the top 2 TE's already gone, are so good?

Ain't no 7' tight ends. Those guys would be Pro basketball players.

But, the idea is right. Graham, Gates, etc. were college power forwards. The Colts are currently trying out Erik Swoope who was a PF at Miami. He won't make the team, but the idea is legit.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. I was considering Zach Ertz but I've read he's went through surgery and doesn't look healthy. He doesn't fit the profile but I wanted him as my Eagles player. I had him last year and although he didn't put up big points, he was consistent.

What are you talking about in this post, Tatts? I haven't seen you draft a TE, yet you're talking about the TE you want to draft? Or just saying you were considering him but didnt. Because he's still available, and he'll be nice and healthy for start of the season.

But you still had me, HD, and Obdigore to pick before you. What if we decided to cock block you and take him for ourself?

Jk. I wasn't looking at a TE until super late rounds, but you couldn't have known that. And HD and Obdigore both have TEs, so I guess that's what you were saying. That you still could take Ertz if you want when it rolls to you.

I bet he catches 5+ TDS for them. And don't worry about the talk about Celek. Celek has the average IQ of a minority, even though he's white.

And before anyone says I was being racist, it's a joke. You'd have to see his neanderthal comment/interview.

Posted Image

Graphs like this are created when trying to tweak our IQ scale. In case you didn't realize, they try to scale it to where your average white person scores an average of 100. It's actually done for scientific reasonings and not to degrade any race, but SOMEONE.....AHEM.....especially atletes and other persuasive figures shouldn't use our science as a way of trying to prove a certain race is smarter than another.

Like I've said many times, I have a multiracial family, note I didn't say biracial. I am not offended in the slightest that the East Asian races are comparatively smarter than me according to this study, but I have seen others get upset over the same scientific study.

Anyway, I'm not spreading the clip, and I didn't mean to get off topic. Ertz is a good guy. Some other player isnt.

Edit: new phone, auto correct is learning, but isn't quite there yet.
