Couple of tips:

Use a different browser for your game alt. Use a different forum skin than you normally use. That helps you from making a post in the game thread using the BalrogLord name.

Log out and sign back in checking the "anonymous" box. If you're not anonymous on your forum name, when you post anything with your game alt you'll be easier to "alt". Meaning that people will have an easier time figuring out which alt you're playing.

Some people do, they build spreadsheets showing your typical posting windows and keep track of the people playing and who is left alive at any specific point. You could go to the effort of trying to conceal that but frankly those kinds of people are going to figure out another way to do it anyway so let them obsess. It only matters in very few high TMDI (difficulty) games where game alts and player alts are both in use in some way.
