Says it all really...i don't know if this has been discussed before, but i really want to know what people think
Does the CG come from another warren or did the mages that summoned him draw him from a whole different world. its not really clear. it's just that there are many references to how alien the CG is.

Wasn't it explained that warrens are just a safe path that run through warrens? What I mean is chaos is what is in between one warren and another warren. May have been mentioned in GotM
Edit: Oh so my point was that chaos isn't a warren but what exists between warrens.
P.S: Sorry for posting a lot of "maybes" on the board at the mo but I still gotta reread all the books again and take some notes this time.

might sound a bit poncey but i think chaos is ultimately the natural balance to the order found within warrens. in that respect the cg is deliberately upsetting the balance by introducing chaos into the warrens

maybe in the BEGINNING of it all there was chaos and then out of chaos came mother dark and the dragons and whatnotelse which in the end created the malazan world...
maybe from chaos other beings came as well who had no contact to mother dark and created other different worlds "somewhere out there" one of these worlds could be the one the CG comes from
now if the mages who conjured the CG to the malazan world were using chaos-magic they could have had a link to these other worlds as all worlds originate from chaos...
so they yanked him from for all we know was heaven to a place that is so alien to him (the CG) and that crippled him to madness
sad story that because he might have been a benevolent angel living in a paradise for all we know and the conjuration made him what he is now...
