Well, hoping for more pressure on your eastern front didn't do me much good in that combat -- thanks for chucking your ships into blend's hex there Khell...that was soooo much easier than putting pressure on undefended systems in IH/Tapper's area!

I guess the rest of you know who to gang up on now...tapper and IH are going to be pretty goddamn unstoppable after this.

Realistically if khell had attacked me it would have helped you a lot more than him.

I'm struggling to see how me and tapper are now the big bad, we have decent point potentials sure but I'm struggling to see how we'll keep up with the other two alliances in terms of combat effectiveness and points. That huge material income gives you such a huge advantage in the points race, it's hard to see how we'll be able to stop you.

ooooh me and tapper are soooooo innocent and not a big threat to anyone!!!

Except that you have 4 dreads on the field, both of you have improved hulls, tapper has enough research for antimatter splitter cannons very soon, probably he will have plasma missiles before anyone, you have a nice chokepoint on our side, a decent shot at taking the GC next round, and Khell decided to leave you alone when you are least able to bolster your eastern defenses....nope.....not a threat to anybody. Posted Image

Says the guy with 4 fully developed cruisers and a quarter of the galaxy under his control :), plus the GC under one ally who is dreaded up, and wormhole access through the other one.

As for "turtles", if you keep pressing our borders, you're more or less pushing us into that strategy, at the least for the short term, right?

The "decent shot at taking the GC" is also only because your own ally decided on moving his two dreads in support of an invasion of our space. If you didn't seek the fight, it would probably be safe from us, too - that last dread I moved into the crowded hex was supposed to clear out the ancients next to IH's home planet.

So, basically, this situation is entirely of your own making.
And with regard to the fleet of dreads: we do have 4 dreads, yes. After this combat, it will probably be less.

Says the guy with 2 "well-under-development" dreads, and an ally with 2 "well-under-development" dreads sitting on our border and enough research points/economy to get a significant tech upgrade and make an incursion next round regardless of whether we attack this round.

Mr pot, I am kettle. Pleased to meet you.

No denying that the situation we're in is our fault, but c'mon...you and IH are in a good position to beat us to pieces no matter what we do. A couple of high-hull cruisers are hardly a match for equally high-hull dreads with +3 computers on board! We are trying to do EVERYONE else a favour and knock you two down a peg...and then KHELL comes along and puts his stupid rock ships where they don't belong...

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I gave Gnaw a poke in our alliance PM and he read it on Monday so he knows it's his turn but I have no idea what the hold up is as he didn't reply to the pm. Has he been on other parts of the forum since then?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Heaven forbid I should ever do that. I'm still waiting for Gnaw to tell me when it's my turn again in the Fog of War Eclipse game. And the funny thing is that Khell still has yet to read the PM poke I gave to Gnaw. We are one well oiled machine here over at the flare alliance.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

The PMs are forwarded to my email inbox, so actually yes, I have read it :p

No!!!! Never!!!! I refuse to believe that. I'm not getting enough of my eclipse fix in. I must needs more!!!! More I tell you! MORE!!!!!!!

I suggest all players in the game log in immediately and PM Gnaw asking if it's their turn again or not. Get the defibulater charged up! Let's jump start that baby!
