I could put in a provisional for the action after my latest provisional if that will make you feel better. :sofa:

It would make me happy yes.

Ah I see you understand what it's likely going to be.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Gnaw, I should be at 8 money, not 7.

had 0 at end of last round and got 8 from the discovery.

You're last round upkeep was -5 and you only had 4 income. That is why $7

I think that is not right...will check in the am. I did not end my round in the red hoping against hope that I would get a money discovery

I'll let IH figure it out. He's the one who said you had too much. And he's the mod.

But that is why I keep track of my own resources outside the game file. I'm sure the same applies to Twelve and D'rek.

CF: I think you were on 6 income, -5 upkeep which would leave you at 9 money. I'll check properly later when I'm at home.

I'm pretty sure Tapper is passing so if anyone else wants to make a move go for it.

CF:

Influence hex, discovery +8 money. Keep as money or take the vp?

colonize money and mats.

Bank: $1, 2 sci, 1 mats
Income: $6, 2 sci, 8 mats
-5 upkeep

Start Round 3:

$7, 4 sci, 9 mats. Or $15, 4 sci, 9 mats.

CF can exchange ambassadors with Blend or D'rek post combat.

Confrm influence, confirm colonize money and material planets, confirm upkeep, confirm keep money, confirm keep 4VP tile.

Blend, diplo sounds grand. Let's do it.

cube on science.

After taking that hive hex my income was at 6, so IH is right, it should be 9 money.

EDIT -- now looking at it again, I think the -5 end-of-round upkeep might be incorrect too. After influencing the hive it should be -7, which would have left me with zero at end of round (which agrees with my memory of end of round planning), and then adding the discovery would put me at 8 money (which agrees with my current crib sheet).

Frig -- thanks to you guys for noticing. It's just a difference of 1 money either way now at least -- not 7 extra money!

EDIT EDIT

should have looked at that more closely. My fault for confirming an incorrect tally. TBH I probably just glanced at it and saw enough correct numbers in the post that I figured it was added up right.

EDIT EDIT EDIT

I'd be happy to sit at $8 to save everyone the trouble. I know it shouldn't be $7, but I'm not going to quibble over the extra $1 (that would bring it to $9) if it's a massive pain in the butt to check the game files IH.

When you passed your upkeep was -3, then you influenced the hive hex for -5. Unless you did a reaction which I didn't see.

Ok...thing to look for is my extra influence disc.

At some point in that round I realized that I had an extra one -- one extra over and above the grand total of all discs on my board, in my spare parts tray, and on the hexes.

I counted the total number compared to others' boards and sure enough an extra pink disc had appeared.

We corrected it before end of round. Where you see my end-of-round upkeep as -3, check whether it is before or after we corrected the error.

I will pass.

I do have a reaction, though, when it comes back to me.

Well, now I have a quandary. I have 3 major options I'm mulling. Go for the discoveries in the north, go for the GC, or take the Ancient homeworld.

I've got the moves for any of the above.

It would be boss as hell to take the GC, but having a massive dread-filled alliance to the south I don't think I'll keep it long without starbases.

Discoveries are great but most of the good ones are taken, and I get 1 from the GC or the ancient homeworld anyway.

Would definitely be advantageous to connect with tatts and get some support with the looming southern alliance on its way.

Thoughts from anyone not directly involved?

Option D. Use your interceptor to pin the ancient and then attack IH and skip all the other options until his Dread has been destroyed.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I like this option the best cf.

Tapper wants the anti matter cannon and splitter. It's why he's building his middle track. IH does have a couple of moves but I doubt he wants to use them.

If you pin his dread then I should be able to take the ancient homeworld and we can open diplo at the end of the round.

You don't have great tech like IH and Tapper. We need to go on the offensive if we want to trim that tree.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

Option E requires you to pass through many hexes that will pin your troops before you even reach my homeworld. Plus I have missiles and I'm not afraid to use them as Gnaw is finding out and if you move my way my move action against gnaw was a provisional. I can change that and blow up your nice and shiny ships pretty easily.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

ha, just realized I can afford to attack IH's homeworld this turn. Not sure what that gains me...but it would be funny.
