As a newbie, I'd be more comfortable with mechanics I can look up online. This game's already going to be way more complicated than my first game. But I'll go with the flow either way!

I'm with D'rek. This mechanic has a feel of Settlers of Catan where my brothers will do everything in their power to screw me over and give a 5 or 6:1 trade (or more generous) just to help someone else win so I can't when my turn comes around. I'm definitely not for that. And even though I don't have as treacherous history as D'rek (at least in Eclipse) I do have the most wins of the group on the forum versions so I can see that mechanic being used against me more often than helping me out.

That's why I said 1 per round and only up to 2 resources.

Could make it so that resources must be traded in equal parts from both sides.

I could see a trade mechanism working but I think it would need to be restricted to at least a player with adjoining hexes, if not diplo or alliance.

I've legit been checking this thread several times a day waiting for it to begin!!! I'm excited for my first run of this by myself! Now I won't have the Tattersail half of my brain whispering to the Blend half of my brain! (not that that is a bad thing, but it'll be fun to see what that other half of my brain taught me)

We'll go with sign up list on thread and gnaws random list, seems fairest.

I was originally planning timezone sorted, but that list is fairly timezone split anyway. And with mods in two timezones I'm hoping it won't matter.

I'm not at my own computer until tomorrow evening, when I am I'll set up files for all to access. Can someone do the initial tech draw, then khell to choose race or first go.

Let's try pass order for turn order for the second round, if it causes major issues we will switch back to 2nd pass chooses direction.

PS gnaw between drek and twelve is a good thing, everyone will be after them
