Heh this reminds of when I first took up the series. Being the idiot that I am (and unrepentant bibliophile) I picked it up in the middle of college semester exams. So it was basically frantic guilt laden 20 minute reads in between study sessions

Following the spirit of the book, I'd say flip a coin.... But then, which do you link to what side of the coin? You'd need to flip a coin for that. Hmmm. It kept me thinking through the day too. I also wanted to give each page a random index and then let a generator spit out number like bingoballs and that will be your order. Lots and lots of possibilities though.

Just like this. lol. Andorian is spot on.
Don't worry about missing certain details and not understanding everything fully...That's what the reread is for (which was probably taken into consideration when the series was being written).
Think of your first read like this: You're a child. You enjoy life when its good and cry when its bad. If you try to fully understand the world at such a young age it will be difficult. So just enjoy yourself and take things a step at a time.
Your rereads should be treated as an adult would (or should) treat life. Now that you have some experience and understanding...its time really start putting the pieces together.
So just enjoy and not think about it too much, it might spoil the fun.
