The conversation you are thinking about was probably the one between Draconus and Hood.

Rake did go into Dragnipur. He was at the Gate, on top of the wagon, where he sacrificed himself. He did not talk to Draconus, but Draconus did witness his sacrifice. Draconus did indeed talk to Hood when Hood entered Dragnipur.

[edit]That probably should have fitted better in response to Abyss's post.

When Draconus witnesses what Rakw is doing he inner monologues how impressed he is with Rake, but they never actually speak inside Dragnipur.

Sinter
Why did she send Kisswhere/Masan Gilani away? Did she has a vision? I mean just to tell them they will get betrayed? Why not any messenger? Why does it have to look like they

I was going to make a thread asking the same question but I'll just reply to this old post instead. I finished Dust of Dreams not too long ago so here's what I remember but I'm still not sure about the whole thing.

Misan Gilani or Sinter (or both?) some how found out about the betrayal which is to free The Crippled God. I don't remember how this was discovered but I do remember it being reasonable. I know. I have a shit memory. I think their plan was to get the Burned Tears & The Perish to join with Tavore's army before they could learn about Tavore's plan for freeing The Crippled God.

What I didn't understand was why it had to look like Kisswhere & Masan Gilani were deserting. Sinter or Masan Gilani said the Adjunct was smart and she'd figure out that they weren't really deserting. I didn't understand this assumption. As far as I know, there's been no indication that Tavore knew these soldiers very well if at all. But anyway if Tavore would easily figure out what they were up to, why couldn't they just tell the Adjunct their plan?

I finished DoD just this morning. What a ride! I have yet to begin tCG, but my take on this was a little different.

I don't think the betrayal Sinter feared was this one - come to think on it, who or what duty would Tavore be betraying to begin with? My understanding was that Sinter expected a betrayal to come from the Perish or the Burned Tears, one that would doom Tavore on their quest.

If we go back to the first big conversation between the redheaded queen and Krughava, I sensed that the Perish had quite a notion of the impossible feat awaiting them all on Kolanse.

When Kisswhere reached those guys and presented Tavore's fear of betrayal to them, Krughava's face paled and the redhead queen immediately shot a 'damn, son!' look to the Perish Shield Anvil.

Misan Gilani was sent to assemble or to reach for the T'lan Imass, from what I could gather. She was carrying a pouch with the dust from one of the warrios to somehow guide her

Going back to OP's question, yes, Sinter had a vision. And her reading of it was that the situation was so dire and so urgent that they simply had no time to meet Tavore and prep and send an official messenger.

The only problem was that Kisswhere and Misan sudden departure could look like desertion - and desertion is punishable with death. However Sinter was sure Tavore would understand and take it for what it really was.
