Yeah, I really enjoyed them. The animators recreated the Yavin 4 war room from Rogue One PERFECTLY. All the callouts to ANH and RO were great, and I just thought this was a great two-parter.

Also, more Saw is NEVER a bad thing. I love the juxtaposition of him next to the Alliance to restore the Republic. I mean, he's one of the only people (barring Rex, and Kanan and maybe some other unknowns) who can say he fought during the Clone Wars and WATCHED all this shit go down with the Empire. Enough to stand in Mon Mothma's face and tell her she's LOST whatever fire she began with, and that his way was the more successful. Some great politics at play there. It's also interesting to note that Saw began his tenure of revolutionary fighting in a position where his planet was under the Separatists...and it was the VERY man they are all currently fighting against (Vader) as Anakin who TAUGHT him to fight for his planet back when he was a teenager. It's rife with storytelling points to see it all unfold like this.

Wow, the Star Destroyers are pretty disposable this season.

Saw turned that ep into a great precursor to Rogue One. A Jyn cameo is unlikely I'd say but we might get her father later on.

Still some dumb moments though. Ezra pulling a Jar Jar with his jet pack. The Imperial March being played as music in an Imperial tavern... run by a Tie fighter pilot? Why the hell would he be put in charge of a tavern? (And yes obviously they only ever play their own movie theme music to themselves.) Stormtrooper armour is still useless. And that Deathtroopers voice...
First I thought 'At last, Deathtroopers!' Then they all got taken out in smoke, leaving the one with the whiney high voice. They went from intimidating to lame in under 2 mins.

Saw was great though. Highlight definitely. (That is Forest Whittaker voicing him, right?)

So we know that Hera and Chopper survive at LEAST to ANH (as they are in ROGUE ONE, and survive the battle over Scarif)...but the new Forces Of Destiny animated short (which takes place in the aftermath of the battle of Endor, and features Han and Leia) showcases that Hera survives the Endor battle as well! If she survives a year later in the battle of Jakku, she will officially make it to the peace period between ROTJ and TFA....in which case, I could see her being the legacy character that ends up in an animated series that bridges those two movies (Like Ahsoka was on TCW and REBELS).

Also, the double headers continue next week. Seems like the whole season will drop in hour-long/2 ep increments....if I had to guess why? To get the entire season done and dusted before TLJ comes out. I'm sure there is a reason for that....but that's the only reason I can come up with that they would double up eps every week of the last season. Not that I'm complaining.

That fight with Zeb was straight out of Indiana Jones!

All gearing up to something big hitting Lothal. Would be a bit weird to have yet another pre-test test of the Death Star; but the Empire leaving is a pretty big hint that shits going down.

Haven't been able to watch in weeks...the iTunes seasons pass for both this and the other Disney XD show I paid for (DUCKTALES) haven't had any eps out in weeks. Not sure what's going on.

FINALLY emailed Apple about the Rebels eps and they threw all 4 of the missing ones up overnight. Downloaded them this morning, will watch late tonight before bed.
