well certainly hope season finale lives up to the hype. Aside from the agent callous episode I've found most of the episodes either ok or just meh. Seriously, save the whales????????????????????????? Way to be a few decades in the past.

Tho speaking of the past, I thought that Agent Callous ep was retread script 101, from virtually every SF, fantasy, cartoon etc show since ever. At the very least, every ep featuring the Inquisitors has been far far better.

no but its a rather dated theme from decades ago. Say what you want about the callous episode it was well executed and added more depth to the character so that he isn't just some carboard cutout villain. I found the last scene in that epsidoe espcially well executed as it contrasted the warmth of zeb's return with callous cold hello from a colleague.

Also tonights episode was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we to interpret this like Vader killed Ahsoka, then? Because that has been long coming, I think. Also, Maul really did butcher those inquisitors, didn't he? Here's hoping for a showdown between him and Vader later on, though I doubt it'd be nearly as awesome as Palpatine owning both Maul and Savage in Clone Wars

Yeah that was pretty damned fantastic! Maul's turn, while MOSTLY expected, still comes with a barb attached that surprised me. So that was cool. The inquisitors died like amateurs when they faced Maul....which was also cool. AND I can now fully hope that the final battle Maul will have in his life will be with Obi-Wan and bring it all full circle.

Ahsoka's alive. I'm not willing to buy that she's dead. I agree with BK it does indeed look like she's standing in the temple as the camera advances. I knew Filoni could no bring himself to kill her (yet). I like that he made a dialogue point of her saying "I'm no Jedi". Which skirts around Obi-Wan's dialogue from the OT if they want to keep her alive past the OT.

And Ezra's eyes going red at the end as he opens the sith holocron? AWESOME.

Ahsoka smashing Vaders mask. I wondered if he'd crack and call her snips, which would have totally floored her.. but at this stage Vader really sees Anakin as dead.


Also... Vader flying down, standing on his fighter.. pure awesome.

Lightsaber copters.. not so much.

I think the green saber with the crossbars is a definite nod towards the Knights of Ren. Did Ezra drop it? Or will he copy it himself now his is broken?

Oh and one more - what the actual fuck are they thinking taking a Sith holocron, and instead of destroying it.. leaving it with an apprentice. Surely no harm will come from that.

Loved Chopper taking out Eighth Brother Inquisitor more effectively than anyone else at the start.

Filoni says Eighth was some obscure race from Clone Wars... Bummer I was hoping it was one of Ezra's fellow Stormtrooper cadets.

Buy-bye Fifth and Seventh... Maul seriously did some damage to both sides this ep. It was neat to see he again, tho he was far less bug nuts than he was in Clone Wars.

Glad they didn't kill him off, there's a lot of potential for a character who is anti-Empire as well as anti-Rebel.

Ashoka was brilliant in this ep. The fight against Vader... Wow, just wow. And she's utterly not dead. That vague shot at the end looked like her walking thru the smoke in the Temple.

Vader was nicely captured here. Did love that shot of him descending on the Tie.

Ezra and the Sith holocron... Oh, that WILL be interesting. Btw they left it w him because they didn't think he could open it. Assuming Kana even thought of that.

Blinding Kanan.... Gutsy move on the writers part, tho he took out Maul after being blinded, so lots of interesting potential there.

I seriously doubt the Knights of Ren are going to get their start on Rebels. Too much dollars involved in the movies to let a key element be tied to a kids cartoon. See Filoni's explanation of the crossfire lightsaber in the article.

The Inquisitors' helicoptersabres were just silly and unnecessary.

Just love the way Dave makes Ashley cry by just describing the final time Anakin sees Ahsoka. I so wish they'd got that finale to screen.
