The votes tallied, Tennes grimly states, "It is what it is" and calmly climbs the gallows without being forced. Upon reaching the rope, he removes his robe, places the noose around his neck, straightens his bow tie, and pulls a strange metal tube from his suit's inside pocket. He grins at the crowd, points the tube at the gallows door lever, and shouts "Geronimo!". The lever moves on its own, the trap door opens, and Tennes drops precipitously. The crowd is silent for a second, and then gasps as one.

The noose hangs down, but Tennes is not occupying it; it hangs empty. The only sign of Tennes is his mask laying in the dirt below the gallows.

The members of the crowd look around and then the howls begin. Each person realizes he is not surrounded by strangers in strange garb. Indeed, everyone's robes and masks are gone. Their anonymity has been stolen from them!

Tennes is gone. He was the Jester, Deathbringer the Adorable, and completes his VC.
