The argument was never on whether or not jester is a town role, the question being asked was if the Jester was a modified jester which in some fashion put his role in towns favour. Which I didn't and don't think is plausible.

Thanks Captain Obvious - I meant for the rest of us. Like, it says in the game description that it's town vs scum, but we have no idea if either Spite or Mockra were scum, so I'm worried that it might not be as clearcut as I am assuming it is.

I am not being disingenuous there are several types of standard games that we play. You are just assuming that in this case Standard = Town vs scum. You know what they say about people who assume things?
