I know this stuff is posted elsewhere, but I thought I would stick it all here so people could find it all in one happy place.

Here is the link to the excerpt from Willful Child on Tor.com:

Here is the link to the Captain Hadrian facebook page that Steven Erikson is updating on a semi-regular basis:

He is apparently answering Agony Aunt style letters there, so there is a chance you can message him and get Hadrian's advice on your problem.

He also made a request for amusing gun names, and said that the best ones could make an appearance in Willful Child 2 and there is a potential to get your name in the second book as a character.

Captain Hadrian had a groan-worthy post today.

Admittedly I also laughed.

I fucking adore this book and can't wait to get a bound copy. Even if I may or may not be characterized in an unflattering way - I probably deserve it :D

Heh... there are some similarities IH - but yep - get this book - it's genius writ small - which would make it genius ? :D

Love it when Steve let's rip and has fun. I'm also glad they took the dorky looking guy off the cover.

Just to let you all know, regarding Willful Child :-

"Also, I'm doing a Reddit AMA on Wednesday, 2 pm Pacific time, where I'll likely be talking a bit more about the book."

So anyone wants to get online and ask some questions - please do so.

edit: see Ribald's post below for correct linky - apologies :D

Personally, it was interesting participating in one of these 'AMA's - I didn't realize it was a special live event that you had to log into so I posted some stuff in the thread with the notion of promoting it, not cynically, but pomoting it becasue I was excited about it and then I posted some questions into the thread because I thought the AMA would be just the thread being added to so that ought to have been embarrassing I suppose - I even had someone PM me with instructions on how to get into the AMA though I had figured it out by then

And then, battling the waves of my anti-crazy medication, I couldn't stay up late enough to see that Steve had actually tossed aside my questions. It was demoralizing to say the least. I'm Arkilokos on reddit btw, not concerned with privacy (on that account anyway ;)
