In one of my PMs to SH, I did say it seemed odd that none of the scenes seemed to make out that an assassin was doing the killing.

That was the one and only time I half-considered that there might not be another assassin in the game. I should have thought harder about that.

I assumed the night of 2 deaths (omtose and desra) that one of them was the assassin accepting a contract on an alt, not knowing they who they were

No I didn't use random.org. I just randomly assigned names to alts when I realized I had to do it. Pretty sure the majority of the people had 1 post in the game, and I've been gone so long alting people on day 1 isn't going to work.

I put all the alts up in alphabetical order and just started randomly cutting and pasting from the list of players someone (I forget who) was helpful enough to put in the thread.

The last real 'theme' game I remember (BESIDES MY GLORIOUS DRESDEN GAMES) was a ROT3K by D'rek, where you could like challenge people to duels or something.

After about day 3 I assumed there was another indy that wasn't an assassin. I kept going to a 'spymaster' role that could view all off thread comms or something, since it didn't look like anyone was dying to an assassin.

I'm sure it might change when you go to actually write the next game and all, but any ideas which characters/factions might be in the next game? Nobunaga/Kenshin/Shingen? I guess Rokkaku takes the place of the historical Ashikaga, but most other factions like Oda, Takeda, Uesugi, etc become rising powers in the same places as historically (except maybe the Hojo, I forgot what happened in the last game with them)?

Tatts, on my alt list I chose you for every alt. Then I was gonna open comms with you, and get your alt name.

Then in comms tell you you were gonna die. You'd be like, no way you alted me. And I'd be like. Yes way.




But I'll take a personal victory instead. So this means Tatts and I get to choose our roles next game? I should get first pick since I got my VC before Tatts.

Which is the norm. I ALWAYS beat Tatts at everything.

On a more serious note, I have two thoughts on the game.

1) The fact that one team had an additional player based on previous games is a good idea , but I think it should have been tweaked somehow. I mean, you had a group of players do well in the last game, thus insuring the Hoso's would get an extra member.

But the same people who were involved in that victory for the Hoso, didn't get anything for it. They only guaranteed that the Hoso this game would have another player. If they weren't Hoso this game, then their previous job well done actually worked against them.

I'm thinking something could have been implemented so that those winners from the last game, instead of making the Hoso more powerful this game and possibly do absolutely nothing to reward their previous work, could have been giving some special extra ability or a BP or something. Yah know. Actually, my suggestions aren't good, but you get the gist . The previous winners and the current game changes should be linked somehow.

Or not.


2) My second thought is about VC to kill your own leader. This definitely makes a team at a distinct disadvantage if someone accomplishes it, and the rest of the team suffers helplessly. I'd have suggested having it be to take out some other teams leader and take HIS spot. This way, both teams lose a player and it stays even.

Again, just my suggestion. Because your game was actually FUCKING awesome. Well designed, man.
