Without having read the spoilers as yet, I'm guessing that it came down to - as it invariably does in faction games - effective communication. And, unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any of my team to communicate with. And even when I did, they promptly died. Sigh.
Well played Rokks!

It wasn't me doing that voting. There wasn't much I could do about that. Even if I'd held off voting Anthras at the end, I doubt the others would have delayed lynching me somehow!

That was quick thinking from Fener and I. We needed to secure Anthras' vote, we knew we had Tellan's, and I needed Fener to hammer so Anthras didn't get suspicious.
From there it just snowballed.

Yeah, well, after finding out there were 5 of us to begin with, I've lost my sense of humour for the moment.
But thanks very much for the game Shin - always great to play Sengoku, and great scene writing too. Pity I can't choose the beloved Ashikaga for the next one.

Anyone who opens a PM in the future that says "Ashikaga" should just ask for modkill.

How close was that Obdi?
I thought we were going to win by a landslide. That's why I was letting slip pieces of information and giving away who I was. It worked to our advantage in the end.

No shit. Neither was I. Trake was 2/3rd dead before I even posted the start of day.

Actually, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for all the Ashikaga lovers, but they're pretty much done, unless I stick one in as a novelty role in another game. They've just had no luck at all.

Since becoming leader, I was trying to give away who I was so my subordinate (I thought there was only one) could alt me, just in case they didn't know me already.
I'm also a bit gutted only original leaders could do the 'Promote' thing, if that was the case.

I _think_ we should have won after the Lizra lynch.
With the speed of the end though it was never in doubt, since the two of them (and I) thought they were different factions.
I was worried they were going to just straight refuse to vote for each other and we would have a draw, but that didn't happen.

2 things about the Hosokawa
They won the last game, so someone should have stopped to consider that they could have been given an advantage (I've mentioned this before)
I will admit that this is the first Sengoku faction game I've run where the teams weren't even...but past setups shouldn't be made to predict future games.

Also, it was a bit of an experiment in this game of potential backstabbing, to see if it was actually an advantage or not. It wasn't, but not for a reason I anticipated.

Honestly not sure I've played another Sengoku game. Maybe the first? I didn't realize something like that would/could carry over.

No, I understand your reasoning behind doing it - and you have spoken about winners getting advantages in future games. I for one never checked the previous game to see what happened, but wasn't basing my ideas on past setups anyway, just what I thought would make sense.

Before everyone gets to enthused with congratulating Obdi: He came | | that close to ending the game on night 2 and handing it to the Hoso.

I'm pretty sure you were the lowest level spearman in the first faction game (Chapter 2). They were the only members of each faction who DIDN'T know anyone, and had no way of learning who anyone was off thread. I'm pretty sure you bitched about it, too.
