Before the update I was averaging 16k in de a day. Now I am happy to get 12.

Since the update I raid differently.

I'm sitting on 71k dark and I only put my hound to lvl 3 on Tuesday. I find bases with 3 to 5k dark each time.

I go with 20 giants 20 wizards 4 wbs 52 archers 4 earthquake 2 poison 1 heal 1 rage 1 freeze.

I've got nothing to spend pink on at the moment. So gold and dark just go up.

I have had good luck getting de using 4 healers, 20 giants, 20 barbs, 20 archers, 20 goblins, a rage, a heal, 4 earthquakes, 2 poisons. I use the troops to clear garbage then super queen into the core.

But my aq is getting s face lift right now so

I am using a gowiwipe with the same spells to get into de. I just costs me a lot more in de to attack that way so it is slower.

So I don't know all your clans are going but mines been great. We have active people and war constantly. Usually 15 or 20 man war, and every now and then we have 30 - 40 man war, only do this at a weekend when people are less busy.

Dang we're approaching level 7 but then we only war twice a week. I love our clan & I'm really enjoying the latest update. Still can't save DE for the life of me on my TH8 alt account but I'm owning it in Masters with my main account!

So since the new update, the whole leaving the TH outside your walls thing has not been working for me at ALL! I could never get passed about 20K DE, and it took forever to collect enough gold to update my towers. So on a lark, I moved my TH inside my walls, and since I've done that I've been finally able to creep my way up in the DE storage, as well as gathering larger amounts of gold faster.

Also, LOVE LOVE LOVE the Treasury!

Yeah that was the point, Supercell were annoyed about people playing it in a way that they didn't want them to play so they changed it. Forget the fact that it was a game that meant people could play at all levels from super intense to purely casual, no we should all play the way Supercell wants us to play! Somewhat mollified by the treasury and Star Bonus though...

Yes! Now, how to spend them wisely? I think I need some time to myself so that I can gem barracks/heroes/spell factories and just own some raiding for an hour...

I hoard gems for the most part. I use them at the very tail end of a hero upgrade sometimes if it doesn't cost too many to get my hero ready for a war. I never spend hundreds of gems on a full upgrade, I think the most I have ever spent is 100 at one time. I am sitting on over 4000 and it is nice to have them for whenever I need them, since I don't buy them if I spend all of these they aren't getting replaced any time soon.

I usually only use gems to speed up my hero healing and my spell factory. The amount of time it takes for my standard contingent of troops to cook is about the same as the amount of time it takes for spells and hero-healing to be done when they're gemmed, so it's rare that I don't get my 5 stars every day within the 2-4 hour windows where I actually play.

I am currently raiding with mass gobs. Don't win very often but I take home so much DE - I have upgraded my AQ twice in the past 3 weeks. She will soon be 24 (120k) and it took me about a week and a half to get that.

I just finished my last wall to complete th9. No mods, no purchased gems. Just waiting for my level 30 queen upgrade to finish as I raise the gold to bump my th to 10. It's been quite the epic gaming experience.

Congratulations! AQ is 24, BK is 20 and I am slowly grinding my way through the level 9 walls...
