Hey guys, forgot to post this earlier (cos i forgot about it myself). But there is supposed to be a massive meteor shower/storm happening tonight, fri 23rd/sat24th, from midnight til sunrise (GMT). If i remember correct, it should be visible from the UK/Ireland as far as Canada. Do a quick google search to see if it is visible in your country.

Weather here is shit so i cant see it, but maybe if anyone else is awake on this side of the pond, they might get to see it. But it should be happening right now!! They were talking about hundreds of meteors per hour which would be cool.

I had been thinking about trying to do a timelapse, or many many night shots at least. But the sky here is absolute pea-soup at the moment, and has been for hours. There is a wind, so maybe it could clear up, but i doubt it. I'll give it another half hour, and then it's bed time.

I was hopeful earlier today when there was sun, but that didn't last long. I'm looking at complete cloud cover here. I guess I'll have to catch the next good one this summer and head somewhere without ambient light.

I tried at least, but now the sky is too bright, and still cloud covered. Bed it is. Maybe those in the US and Canada will have more luck.

Just looked here in the East Coast of Canada. Haven't seen anything. Apparently the peak is at 4:00AM our time. I'll be up for a while longer.

Camelopardalis. Apparently it's a giraffe, but I (obviously) keep thinking about camels and leopards. Apparently this was a never before seen shower too. If so, it's still never been seen by me or many others due to poor weather. Next time then.
