Nine hundred and ninety - seven... nine hundred and ninety eight... nine hundred and ninety-nine... One thousand!

Asher opened his eyes. At last.
Time to go.
Holding his breath, he slid out of his old, creaking bed and put his bare feet on the floor as lightly as the rising sun kissed the mouth of Resthaven Harbour.

His eyes lingered on that one post. A pig that could talk complaining about sound, the harsh letters of capitalisation burning his sight on the site he became famous.

In the other bed his brother Bede, mired in his sleep, stirred and grunted beneath his blankets. Asher waited, suspended between heartbeats. Bede grunted again, then started snoring, and Asher sighed his silent relief. Thank Barl they didn't still share the room with Niko. Bloody Niko woke cursing if a fly farted. There'd be no chance of creeping safely out of the house if Niko still slept here.

Yeah but for a female writer it wasnt a bad series. There arent many female writers that I can even get myself to read. Too many touchy feely characters generally speaking

Bloody Niko is a killer? And a potentially fratricidal one at that? A theme? This was supposed to be straight M&P. Nobody said anything about themes.

This isn't a themed game. I was creating my own or should I say using Karen Miller's innocent Mage as a starter.

Themes? Themes?!

I didn't sign up for a themed game, if I knew this was a themed game I wouldn't have signed up, I only want straight M&P, I can't cope with having a name, I want to ... <slap> ...

Normal service will be resumed shortly.

Deflecting from Fener this early is damn suspicious if you ask me.

This house, the air in here is so...stifling. I'd go out if I could, but then I'd lose the chance at all that money. Money - the only thing keeping me here. The only thing keeping all of us here. Was that disgusting? No, the only disgusting thing was the desperation of poverty which drove me to this. These people - they seem like an alright lot, if a little scatter-brained.

But this house. I'm not one to fall for stupid stories, but there definitely is something in the air here. Perhaps that was it, perhaps they pump in all sorts of toxins and hallucinatory drugs through the ventilation system. Perhaps that's how they get people to run.

But I don't see any vents. Maybe it was time to talk to some of the fellow guests.
