To be honest, I think the thing I am proudest of this game is avoiding suspicion by D'rek and Khell while they were lovers. I got lucky a lot. Like killing GH night 1. Lots of luck and lots of WIFOM....a homemade recipe for scum if there ever was one.

Wow. This was a pleasant surprise to wake up to. I thought I was gonna have to face the inquisition!

ST was zeroing in on me. So many town players were starting to place the pieces together.

The one game I play as scum and no one vigs me or lynches me. If I was in Tiams shoes I'd be screwed, I made a sure fire kill candidate were I town. I thought my obvious unexplainable survival and my badly put together reaction posts had me on track for the lynch had we gone on to the next day.

well Played scummy homicidal martial arts team.

I'm sorry I almost set you up maccy! ^_^

Wataaaaaa!

That was me, and I'd delete the rest of that nonsense too but I'm too lazy, and those are sort of posterity if there is every anyone who bothers to read old games for kicks.

I put a handful of pictures in for game purposes, and unfortunately all those women you posted died in the nuclear holocaust so they technically couldn't appear in this game.

If you've got a problem with that, I will be happy to spam your inbox with tentacle porn.

I am actually sort of curious as to why ansible has Denul as his top choice, considering how much heat D'rek has gotten on thread.

I'm dying to find out why he targeted me. ^_^

I always had Denul near the top of my list and eventually my default kill unless I decided otherwise for two reasons - 1) lots of attention on thread but not a lot of push my way means easier to keep focus off me and on her - but also meant that if she died, anyone who was pushing hard for her lynch was now WIFOM'd into either being a target or massive confusion, and 2) she was seriously playing well, especially after the first two days or so, so I saw risk in leaving her alive because she might have caught me. I realize those seem conflicting, but that's why I said Denul was dangerous, dead or alive... She helped me on thread by keeping focus away from me, but was also dangerous because if she started to push for my lynch I was done - and on the other hand, if I killed her, the town CF might have sown more reassessment than confusion, but at the same time I was counting on the WIFOM to muddle things up. So maybe I'm crazy, but I did think she was probably a Warlord and that also made me hesitant (and tempted!) to NK her (now that I see basically everyone had a BP or something! Damn.). Anyway, after Denul didn't get lynched for several days, I thought it was less scummy to leave her alive than kill her until (what I did not know was) D-Day.

As for you, Gnaw, I was not going to kill Korabas or even try, and you had ramped up your play at that point and were commenting on the Korabas reveal in a way that I did not like and decided to prevent any more of your analysis or speculation. :p That also made you a safer kill, because (as I hoped) the next day was wasted wondering why Korabas wasn't NK'd and your comments were only going to fuel that if you died, since your play at that point was more smart than scummy.

Khell you around? You saw something in Eloth but didn't go for it completely. Balls out so to speak. Any reasoning behind that?

I do regret not pushing further - in part it was because I was partnered with D'rek and her senses told her Tiam was scum, and I was inclined to side with her experience and skill in the game (turns out we were both right, d'oh). But also because there was nothing wholly incriminating, more of a general style of play rather than any particular post. Moreover, there were several people who were receiving far more attention at the time - I didn't feel like I could wholly throw my weight behind yet another name with so many existing suspects (Tiam, Shadow, Denul for the others) still around.

If you go to the post where I do a breakdown of Eloth's style this game, you'll see I highlighted that, for all their posts, they actually have minimal DIRECT interaction with any other player. Eloth kept themselves aloof all game, making side comments to things others were saying, but only rarely addressing anything directly.

There were other things too, such as the Ampelas case, which really should have been a big ping on the scumdar, because it was a case which very clearly went nowhere, and Eloth should have much more strongly been accused of making it up solely in order to be seen to be doing something original and useful of their own.

Finally, the way he latched on to my comment about him being in the middle posters was very similar to the way Galayn blew up on Okral's seemingly minor statement about them.

You're very right, and that's why I had to kill you and why I had to kill Amp too. ^_^

I will admit I was glad you did that Ansible. Gnaw remaining in game was the play I'd hoped for. Fact was Korabas speculation kept other then 'scummier' players like venge and maccy in game as secondary priorities while town argued about what would be the best treatment of an outed warlord. I was pushing for a lynch in that direction but had to wait for other town members to get started else it would be easy to trace back to me. D'rek played smart and I knew I had to be on her good side to stand a chance (I also thought it was Venge for so many reasons!). I tried to get ST's assesment on D'rek to look like he'd turned me against her but then she revealed and all hopes of lynching her had to be thrown out the window.

I cannot stress how happy I was Venge started to shift suspecion onto OL. Up until that point I had almost no hopes for a scum win. In all honesty Eloth and my activity, although entirely unplanned, made for a really shady looking pattern (didn't even realize we were doing it!) and it was my fault to bring attention to it. When I read Vengies post I had my heart up in my throat.

Damned scum, next time Mac I'm going to try and lynch you straight off the bat - I spent half the game thinking you were scum because your SPG was winding me up and I was trying to see past my frustration at it :)

Good game

Not sure why you're being so finicky about the Remove Vote thing. The intent is obvious, no?

It's a legitimate symp move to pretend but not actually vote for their master. In this case, the symp isn't voting for someone he suspects his master needs to kill for VC purposes. That's why the rule exists.

But it's only a symp move because we're strict about it, right? If we took that as a vote every time, regardless of whether or not there was a 'Remove Vote' first, this wouldn't be a problem.
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I like the rules that call for a little extra attention to the game, like scum needing to confirm kill orders, etc. Other mods may not care, but I will remain a stickler for "remove vote" voting.

It's not like it's tough to do, and adds a small wrinkle to the game that I personally like.

Interesting. Maybe someone got annoyed at his posting style or something? I'm a little surprised, because it seemed as though MO was about to come under some heat. I guess we'll just have to live without his Librarian impersonation from now on (judging by the complaints of everyone doing catch-up, he won't be missed).

Asshole.

Le sigh.

Sorry, but it seemed as though there were quite a few people in the sign up thread who were a little low on time. Clarity goes a long way to letting them be useful contributors in the game, and I felt as though the extra obfuscation on your posts would have made it difficult for them if you'd kept it up.

Good lord ST is scary. If and when I am scum again, he'll be the first to go. Man's a fucking iceberg with most of his potency in PM's.

Thanks :). I like to send a lot of stuff to SH because I always find the SH read entertaining after a game (plus PS needs entertainment too!). It probably shows from those that I was putting a lot of thought into this one...sadly it was all for naught :).

Can't see why I'm linked to Eloth when the same reasoning links me to players like Bek Okhan, Rikkter and Ampelas. Even Alkend and I had no dialogue though that counts far less. I've atleast had some dialogue with Eloth and honestly they're high on my list as likely scum this day due to the behaviour switch and further unwarranted talk on warlords. Cannot see how our shared name ommission makes me linked to Eloth and then Shadow. Its not sound reasoning to me.

This stood out to me too, but I wonder if it would have if I was in the game.

In hindsight, I really should have pushed this harder. It was really, really out of place with the rest of what he wrote, and sounded really defensive and panicky. It just seemed like too much of a coincidence that I'd picked out the Eloth/GL connection for me to push it right away, and as it turned out I didn't have as much time as I thought I did.

Send enough PMs, and some of them are bound to have a hint of truth :D.

There was actually a PM I sent yesterday that didn't make it to the thread where I said something like "I'll be REALLY angry at Shadow if it turns out that it's an Eloth/Tiamatha/GL scum team". Unfortunately prescient :D.
