Okay so 14 hours to go, no way are we going to get to level 5 at this rate.
In terms of voting I like Bek as a candidate but for now

Now we have a CF this does need a closer look at. I noticed this first time round however refrained from commenting for my own reasons. This could be one of two things - signalling or distraction. By putting the bold in GL may have been looking for something to stir up some talk, good towny talk about what it could mean, who it could be aimed at etc, padding the post count with people thinking they're doing the right thing. I'm inclined towards the latter but would like to hear other thoughts on it. In no way do I think it an innocent slip - as someone else said, you just can't bold it without making an effort

Also? So, they weren't expecting the first post to be first? Normally we start with "First!," not a question. I suspect that GL was having off-thread comms with a fellow scum member and rather than replying to the PM replied on thread.
I suspect this was setting up signalling of some sort, leaning me heavily towards an alt beginning with A.

Distancing?
I'll try and take a closer look later but Ampelas is my favourite for scum atm

I think you are dead on with the GL confusing a PM with the game thread. That explains his first two posts. I'm not so certain a out the letter A equaling an alt name. That would be dumb. Not as dumb as posting your PM in thread but dumb.

I'm confused with one other thing with GL at the moment - the CF.
Hong Kong. A field team is set to take out Hau Fat, a very persuasive Triad kingpin who controls half of the politicians in the city. The Ming Mastermind, as the tabloids call him. Opium, murder, stock fraud, human trafficking.
Let the gamesBeijing. Begin, I mean.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each player has a name, a continent/state/federation and a third word (RI for town) in their PM.
The name is for scenes, the state/continent/federation are ability keys, the word for fluff/faction
Whilst I'm sure GL was scum for not having RI listed and telling us Henchman, the nationality is the issue for me - should he not have been HK/RoC?

I did think it was a mistake. I've done similar myself. Bolded the text, realized that some didn't need to be bolded, highlighted that text, unbolded, missed a couple of letters and didn't notice.
But with the CF I am less inclined to think accident. But if signaling, who? Assuming you're correct about the off thread comms any signal would have to be aimed at a third player, no?

Hence my thought that it was deliberate and intended to draw out talk on thread

I imagine that most people will continue to play the way they normally play/however RL time constraints let them. I'm going to try and continue my high posting, anyway.
So let me go take a look at GL.

For ease of reference, repeated below
WCS also says that scum gain abilities at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 because otherwise why not have just level 0 (scum abilities only) and 1 (town get one-shot abilities.)
I'd rather a quiet Day 1 and we see what scum start with at level 0 and thenspam discuss the hell out of Day 2 to get to level 5.
On the basis that scum probably want to level up that bit more on Day 1 than town do,
Vote Galayn Lord
who is almost (27/120) a quarter of the way to levelling everyone up to level 1 by themself.

Conversely I can see that they don't till a level is reached. I would rather that they went into Night without having reached that level and indeed, in night 1 they were at level 1, level 2 was only reached with the start of day 2. Did they get something else at level 1?
Although, since all our abilities are one-shot I am wondering if scum abilities are similarly based - get a NK at 250 posts, 400 posts, 500 posts etc (note descending series to allow for loss of players)

rereading k. The phone is painful. Only one quote tk put in, minus quote tags, but its something that caught my eye
"keeping the higher posters would make the most sense, and voting off the lower poster like you, Korabas, Rikkter and Alkend to maybe find scum."
this was during GLs debate over the posting (where it should be noted, he was pisting a lot, obviously trying to push the count up) the you in question os Bek.
my crazy theory for the night - if we're dealing with a pair, would they be ballsy enough to both play it loud and proud? Or would they do a little and large routine, with GL having the stones and foresite to drop his team mates name in this little list?
of the three kn that list my initial thought is to land a vote on Korabas immeadiately, but I submit that's partly pettiness from him voting for me.yesterday, but he was a partisan defence for GL and was voting on (at the time) the only viable alternative for a train.
going to sleep now, but my leanings at the minute is that amp was too involved with GL, would be a bad symp or a gutsy partner if related
taim is in a similar vein but more scummy Imo based on the Lock vote ( possible derailment, although amps vote could be belated distancing but I doubt it as he caught the 'they' slip)
Alkend is virtually PI to me now as he was first to push hard
so yeH, taim for the lock, and Korabas on a joint crazy theory/ alternative train/ petty vengeance vibe
wi decide i. The morn

Sigh, once again, if I wanted to derail, I would have at least voted on someone who already had a vote on them.

Good point this is a Tapper game after all. However traditionally town/scum games run with killer(s) and symps - were it a lone killer in GL then it'd be game over already.
