Yeah, all the Osiris gear is awesome but the warlocks definitely got the short straw, not a huge PvP guy but that gear is enough to tempt me back!

I'm still not finding Monte Carlo that impressive tbh. I wish there was some sort of loot scanning, where it would detect if you've already got something and reduce, not eliminate, the chance of getting it again. Also, like for like player trading would be great, i.e. you can only trade exotics for other exotics, legendaries for other legendaries etc.

Universal remote is actually really good in PvP, the unique perk gives insane range when aiming down sights.

I actually have to play it as well! Though I'm struggling to see the incentive now, IB was one of 2 ways to reach 32, but with all the new gear it's become moot no?. Couldn't beat PoE last week cause of the arc burn hive stage where you had to defuse mines so hoping this weeks better!

It will be invaluable for anyone wanting etheric light to level up existing gear to 34 though. The ability to buy it at levels 3 and 5 I think would make it worth it for anyone with gear to upgrade.

Didn't know about the etheric light, that's definitely cause to get involved!

I've been neglecting this game....but BLOODBORNE is getting tedious so I think it's time to come back.

Definitely the latter is the best idea. You are better off with one character who can do everything than three who will struggle. XD

So I started playing Destiny about a week ago. I'm playing as a robot wizard...sorry, Exo Warlock. Currently level 14 I think.

I've never had such a weird relationship with a game. The more I play it, the more I complain about it...and then I play it even more. There's no question that the gameplay/gunplay is excellent, and for someone like me who's really enjoyed Halo in the past, the controls and feel are like second nature.

It's also a beautiful game (judging only from Earth and the Moon thus far...and actually the Moon's a bit bland, but the Cosmodrome!). But the entire thing reminds me of film backdrops and models - you know, like a town built on a film set and when you walk round the back of the buildings you find that actually there is no back, they're all just very detailed props. There's zero interaction with anything in the world, other than shooting aliens in the face. You can't even open a door. I find that sad somehow.

Tried out the Crucible a few times, mostly I get annihilated (dying three or four times for every kill), but I've only played Control, so still win sometimes thanks to the team :p

I know I haven't seen half the things the game has as yet - the other planets, alien races, strikes, raids, nightfall, iron banner, even using the vendors aside from the bounty guy. But I get the feeling that this is a game I could continue to play without ever really understanding why. I know it's early days, and it seems preposterous to say considering the game's obvious financial success, but the game just gives off that whiff of unfulfilled potential. Maybe that's what keeps me playing.

Yup, you're on the money (though you are pretty close to seeing half the game :p). Unfulfilled potential is this game's thing. XD But the actual experience of playing is just so fluid that it keeps it working. Very strange.

Got back on and realized my 3month card had expired, so I need a new one to play Crucible and Events ect.

Did one weekly Strike it allowed me to do, which was cool.

I keep getting MEGA screwed on decrypts though. It's all largely useless crapola.

Finally got something decent from the nightfall after a run of bad luck. Finally got Hawkmoon!

Khell what system are you playing on?

I'm playing it on my housemate's Xbone, on his account. He got Destiny when he bought the console and never opened it (actually, he hardly ever touches the console entirely, still preferring the 360). It looked so lonely, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Might end up getting it for my PS4 now.

BK, got my new card and I've been upping on Crucible marks to try to get up a level or two to get some new weaponry. So we can do some strikes whenever you're online and see me, just holler at me message-wise.

I've encountered a very strange thing in Control on the Crucible. There was another player (a titan) who I cam up behind and knifed/melee'd...over and over and over and over. I hit him at LEAST 10 times and then unleashed a whole clip of pulse rifle fire at him (before he took me out) and he was largely unhurt. I mean I don't even think the multiple melee hits and the rifle fire even got his white bar down....what the flying hell? Is he running a cheat? Or is this just how armored a lvl 30 titan might be to my lvl25 hunter? I was honestly baffled. I thought the Crucible servers matched you up with people at LEAST within your lvl ability to attack. I don't think anything but three shots from a flaming super pistol would take this guy out...

Lag. His or your connection was terrible for a bit so the game compensated as best it could, but essentially you were not attacking where he was, but rather here he had been.

Sounds like a pretty terrible case of a lag spike. Happens rarely.

Crucible (normal, not Iron Banner or Trials) levels everyone so that your character level doesn't matter, at least in theory. So it's not that. ;)

Oh really? I didn't know that. Okay, yeah that sounds like it's probably what happened. Weird.
