I liked Alkend's answer to the role question. It matches my suspicion that Bek, aka Quick Ben, knew Alkend, aka Kalam, but that Alkend didn't know Bek.
Now, I'm not sure if this helps at all, but if I was guarded while attempting to guard Korabas, that means that they cannot be the guard themselves, because otherwise we would have just cancelled each other out. Which means Korabas can only be Toc or Shadowthrone.

If a guard guards a guard...
Then both are guarded. Or that is how I would action that.
Not saying anything either way. Say Korabas was the guard and he chose to guard you then both you and he would be guarded if you guarded him.
Argh my head hurts. Stop trying to wheedle information you slime ball.
But then you would have also said to me, 'You have guarded Korabas', as you did when I guarded Okaros.

Then you shouldn't have said to me that I have guarded Okaros back when I did that. You have to be consistent.
You was not guarded when you guarded Okaros.
Basically arguing with Khell here. If Khell guarded the Dude they would have both received the words.
You have been guarded
If they are not guarded and choose to guard then
You have guarded (alt)
I have been consistent with that the whole game.
