I've begun to steer clear of movie trailers past the first one...they've begun releasing like 6 or 7 trailers for big event movies like this, and I always feel like I've seen WAY too much by the time they drop.

I do have high hopes for this as I enjoyed the first one.

The first one I posted just now doesn't give anything away we don't already know. The second has clips from the whole movie, so if you don't want to see, for example, how Electro becomes Electro, or hear any of the discussions that Osborne has with Peter, then stay away from that one for sure.

I really enjoyed it! There's been a lot of discussion over the handling of Max Dillon and how he was supposedly representing all black people and that he was poorly handled in that sense because in the end he's doing what he does for the sake of Harry Osborne, a rich white guy, etc.

I never took him to be representative of all black people so much as representative of the little man inside a corporation who is not appreciated, and in that sense he was well handled at the beginning of the movie. What I had a problem with, however, was how he seemed to do a complete 180 re: Spiderman. I mean, I understand that Spiderman is basically the reason he ended up being taken to Oscorp to be studied, but it still didn't make much sense to me.

I felt there wasn't enough Green Goblin, but man was he flippin' terrifying or what? The makeup/CGI for him was amazing. I'm looking forward to Amazing Spiderman 3 so we can see some more of him. Given what we've seen in the Oscorp Pit of Doom (i.e. Doc Oc's tentacle pack), I think things are going to be very interesting going forward!

Gwen Stacey dying, even though I was expecting it, was hard to watch. My heart legit stopped when she hit the bottom of that clocktower. It was so... I dunno, just really emotional.

I think that adding Rhino right at the end like that was kind of a waste. I understand what they were trying to do - like, after several months, Peter listens to Gwen's speech and realizes that he needs to stop being a mopy emo kid and just get back on the horse, and Rhino was a good reason to do that, but still... Considering the trailers made it seem like there would legit be three villains for this movie, having Rhino be there for like 5 minutes at the end of the movie was kind of cheap.

Even though I wish to see it still, my expectations have been suitably lowered by what I hear is a LOT of nonsensical plot points, SERIOUSLY contrived coincidences, and lazy storytelling.

I'll probably just see it for the action sequences, which I hear are stunning.

That they are - whoever was responsible for choreographing Spidey for the fight scenes has one hell of an imagination! It was all very excellently done!

I pretty much agree. Jamie Foxx was the little guy, a genius whose plans were used for a big project that he received no benefit from. I didnt know about the 'all black guys side' of things but hes certainly the little guy being shit on by the corporations and his torture at Oscorp certainly changed him.

Disagree for Goblin.Not enough Green Goblin at all they have one brief sequence where they reminisce and then all of a sudden hes a super villain and Gwens dead. Though I like the actor in the other things hes been in I thought he was a fucking awful Goblin and it really jarred me out of the film how terrible it was. He took the madness draught and was dying then got in the suit. Why not get in the suit and have that cure you? Might have been a reason for it I dunno but still thought it was awful and suffered from too many villains. Really hammy Goblin not in a fantastic hammy like Giamatti as Rhino either
