I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Would you say that D'rek has played a pretty perfect game? Research tracks totally filled up, money and science maxed out, territories coming out the wazoo, cold-hearted betrayal at the right moment...

Of course, she was helped by having Tatts and I as her neighbours :)

Why did I move there? Without going through the last half of the thread to get the feel and swing of this game again, it looked like a good spot to go. Winnable battle v tapper and 3 VPs from the hex potentially.

'Perfect' or not, I think it is almost certainly the best game I have ever had of Eclipse and probably the best I ever will have, online or on a table (or on the floor :) ).

Well outside the first game I ever played on this forum where I didn't have a clue what I was doing this is by far and away the worst game I've played. It's a minor miracle I still have ships and territories to influence other players actions even if just a little bit.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Ah, I see, I forgot I had already built the Beta Lyrae one. Just build the one starbase in Pollux and the one interceptor, then.

Hey, come on, I was aiming to be the only one left with my homeworld at the end :) This is a cheap and dishonourable move.

'Perfect' or not, I think it is almost certainly the best game I have ever had of Eclipse and probably the best I ever will have, online or on a table (or on the floor :) ).

D'rek effectively taking down Orion without building anything more than interceptors with improved hull was pretty impressive this game.

Certainly one of the best games I've seen played.

Now come on lets get this finished so we can start the next game :wallbash:

Tatts had crappy hex draws which helped considerably.

Tatts misplaying the Orion helped considerably in my opinion. Jumping into alliances early was a huge folly. He's the Orion after all. Attack! Attack! Attack! Should have been his mantra.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah Tatts hex draws were actually pretty good for orion (supernova and the double ancient hex would be in my wishlist for any orion play), he just made a few early mistakes, like not attempting to connect with d'rek and khell (which he easily could have if I recall correctly). Then I was really surprised when he allied with Gnaw who would have been easy for him to crush, Orion need to attack someone early and when he didn't it kind of forced my hand. I was hoping to attack Gnaw, but once he allied with Tatts it would have been too difficult as I couldn't deal with the forces the two of them would have been able to bring to bear.
