And as for dragging feet - this is *your* alliance's fault for passing so early all the time. It means we constantly have to wait for all the 'no reaction' double-checking from like the normal halfway point of every round

At this stage there aren't many moves our alliance can perform. The latest map on the first page still has my dread in hex 212. I don't even know what hexes Morg/CF ships are in. Yet I am not worried. Not worried at all, you may take swipes at us but we will be further ahead after this round than you. Not in VP's but that march to the center set your alliance back by a round. Morg and CF are sitting pretty right now, they don't need to be antagonistic and if they did it should be to Tapper. Why? They cannot afford to let you get too strong and they see that we are engaging you and Twelve. So we are already stretched, if we break then there is no hope for their team. The galaxy requires balance.

IH will not be here after Christmas, so even though we don't know it we are on a deadline. That is what is in the back of my mind. If we could speed it up somehow then that would be super.

I don't understand the complaint. We've been moving much faster than previous games I think.

@ GC - since i'm here, I'll make a final decision regarding my move as soon as the turn comes to me.

@ CF - I didn't actually see your previous post for some reason. To be honest I'm not entirely sure it's needed. IF IH or Gnaw claimed a womhole generator, the science expense would place them far behind the tech arms race. It seems a weird, though interesting risk. Let's hold of making a choice until we see what tech is available.

Gnaw if you react and build an interceptor then you should wipe both of those cruisers off the face of the Galaxy BUT I am not sure whether it is worth it or not, Morgoth cannot hope to hold Arcturus, and he then becomes Tappers problem. You can just order a retreat of the interceptor or let it burn.

Next go you can afford to build two cruisers and an interceptor for some revenge or protection. You still get the income from Arcturus. Stay calm

If I am not mistaken, the inty is pinned because there's 2 of Morghy's cruisers there, and Gnaw vs Morgoth is resolved before Ancients vs Morgoth.
Also, at 3 hull points per cruiser, that's a pretty well-protected ship to 'wipe off the map'.

I am all OK with Morgoth holding Arcturus. It comes at the "cost" of losing access to 2 discovery tiles and sharing an extended border with both members of the Human-Hydran alliance, but that's a price I am willing to pay. Hell, I'd be happy with exchanging ambassadors with Morgoth.

He can retreat in battle, so fire missiles and order retreat, does damage to cruisers and then that damage is carried through to the ancient battle. Gnaw fires 4 dice 2 damage each, one hit and Morgoth would lose a cruiser most probably. Two hits and he loses a cruiser to Gnaw and then it is two ancients versus one cruiser. 3 hits and Morgoth would be doomed most probably.
