So, Monsieur Tapper and Sir Khelleaf, shall we take the GC this upcoming round? Looks like it'd be fairly easy for us this round, while Gnaw+Tatts+IH seem to still have a few issues and obstacles to work out before they can take a shot at it.

All interceptors would probably be the best option, given the GC's layout. Computer are useless, and so is hull unless you can get to 5 HP. I have enough actions to get two interceptors in, and upgrade the IH to a second Ion Cannon on each. If you and Khell can get 4 more interceptors in we'll have good odds.

Ran some simulations with the web tool of interceptors with two ion cannons each vs the centre GCDS:

4 interceptors - 33% chance of victory
5 interceptors - 62%
6 interceptors - 83%
7 interceptors - 93%

Odds are much worse without the double ion cannons - only 44% for 6 interceptors - and there's not really any other upgrade that helps except shields, which we don't have. But this means we should do fine if we can put 6 interceptors versus the GCDS.

I can put two in no problem, but I don't have the materials or actions to do more. Tapper, you have materials for 3, but I'm not sure if you have enough actions for BUI+BUI+MOV+UPG (+Pulsar MOV). Similarly, Khell could put in 2 but has the farthest to go - would need to do BUI+MOV+MOV+MOV. Still, it looks very do-able for us with a very likelihood of success.

The other option is to go with heavier ships, including Tapper's aleady-built Dread. You could {a} research Positron Computers and give it tons of initiative+computer for a near-guaranteed couple hits, {b} research Improved Hull and give it 5 HP, so the ancient blows up interceptors before it (unless it gets a double 6), or {c} get Gauss Shields and put a -1 on it so that the GCDS' 5-rolls can only hit the interceptors.

I don't think it's worth trying to get Khell's dread in - too far and it'll be the first thing the GCDS blows up.

Hmm.
I was looking at the +money development to get the extra actions required, that would leave me with a colony ship to be used for a second fighter.

My action would be Develop +12 cash, build 2 fighters, upgrade (pulsar),, move. I could add the dread but it would die horribly on the first hit.

Let's see what science offers. If there's missiles, everything changes.

Good point, flux missiles could make this a lot easier. If you put them in the middle track you could probably research both those and positron computers, and dump a bunch of both on your dread.

No they didn't make a plan. This is the plan I want you guys to follow as it doesn't involve me. And I'm confused about what tech has been drawn. Why are there two sets of 11 tech listed? I'm assuming the tech draw for round 3 is
