The Planta's distributed intelligence allows us to think far into the galactic future, and across several dimensions - up to three of them, in fact.

Turn 4 - UPGRADE Dreadnaught with two Plasma Cannons over two Ion Cannons.
Turn 5 - MOVE Dreadnaught into Lambda Serpentis.
Turn 6 - PASS.

Can you do your upkeep for Gnaw for his next update then? I will do similar to speed things up.

What are your plans here? I plan to pass next and save up to get orbitals next turn. We're penned in via Formahaut for the time being, which should be a relatively easy chokepoint to defend over the next couple of rounds. You should think about the same, we're limited in the number of systems we can occupy now, and a few orbitals (esp in your territories) would help us quite a bit.

We should think about who takes the discoveries too. A good weapon or computer tech would be an asset for my starbases on the front lines, though I guess if Formahaut is the main chokepoint, we can always trade the territory so you can build stations on it.

My production is too low to both build orbitals and support you militarily. I'll take my two ancients and use the fleet I develop to support you. Alternatively, if we find that you do not need help I will get.. creative. That sound good to you?

My chance of defeating the ancients fall at roughly 85 %. I consider that an acceptable risk.

Cool. I'm going to put up some defenses at Formahaut probably next round too. I'll have the spare materials for it, so I might as well.

Anything you're able to spare from your fleet for Formahaut defense through the next several rounds will be a big help for sure. Keep the dogs at bay!

I would say 85% chance of success is very good. No reason not to try.

Ambassador Lettuce would like to make a formal request to his Magellan counterpart:

Could the representative's pet chiens possibly stop urinating on Ambassador Lettuce's symbiotic partnerplant? They seem to have taken to her tall, sturdy trunk - as anyone would, of course, the ambassador is a very lucky seed of a shrubbery - but she has begun to lose foliage over the matter.

It's my turn 3.

IH, Tatts and I could really use a pass from you. Fuck the hive this turn. We need a clockwise rotation.

I can't do it because I need to de-influence Castor or bankrupt out of it.

Yes, star crossed in pleasure the stream flows on by
Yes, as we're sated in leisure, we watch it fly

And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me
And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me

Time can tear down a building or destroy a woman's face
Hours are like diamonds, don't let them waste

Time waits for no one, no favours has he
Time waits for no one, and he won't wait for me

Men, they build towers to their passing yes, to their fame everlasting
Here he comes chopping and reaping, hear him laugh at their cheating

And time waits for no man, and it won't wait for me
Yes, time waits for no one, and it won't wait for thee

Drink in your summer, gather your corn
The dreams of the night time will vanish by dawn

And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me
And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me

No no no, not for me...
Take good care to keep relations civil
It's decent in the first of gentlemen
To speak friendly, Even to the devil

I'm going to catch up on the turn update.

@CF I think Tatts is the one doing the "speeding up" thing.

@whoever, if you'll look at the latest board the VP counter columns have been changed to reflect alliances. I'll use the markers once I find out which marker is which.

Why do we need clockwise? You put an interceptor or something in castor this turn, I explore the hive and you influence it works much better with anti-clockwise rotation. I can't see a clockwise rotation giving us much benefit...

A Draco interceptor doesn't do anything. It doesn't unpin your dread. YOu'd have to use your own ship to do it.

clock wise for two reasons,

I get neutron bombs

Tapper doesn't get neutron bombs.

Both of you deserve compliments then. This game is going much more smoothly all in all.

I made the alliance marker comment too. No worries though, I figured it out. Markers on the VP columns should be enough anyway; I never looked there. IIRC however alliances themselves are worth 2VP each, right?

I thought that the Draco is ignored when it comes to interactions with the ancients? Him putting any ships there doesn't change anything. You would still be pinned.

Edit: Saw that Gnaw already answered this.

Off for the evening. Don't forget my next provisional action is to pass, provided no aggression vs. me.

I can pass and then bankrupt my way out of Castor. But I'd like to get a research in too.
