I don't like what he's doing, but I don't see it as nefarious. I think he just doesn't have much spine and is too easily flip-flopping for votes. He should've held firm to what was already decided, and told the few whiners who disagreed with the choices to start their own train, which would fail.

Agreed that Barg's random idea is pretty dumb. I'm actually pretty surprised to see people vote for it so early. On the other hand, it is good to see some earlier votes today, yesterday seemed to really turn into a slog and today has been much faster-paced and enjoyable.

Really not sure how I'm going to vote yet today, assuming my system doesn't garner support. If it does, I can probably spend a 1-Cheat to Confidence myself to give it more oomph

We also talked about the lynch and agreed Jalan will probably win it based on what most people who haven't yet voted have been saying. It's basically two things:

a - use virtual voting to reduce the bullet costs of changing votes
b - cut the Votes>Mayor>Judge>Lynch process down to Votes>Judge>Lynch to make things simpler

I've been focusing the first couple days on getting my items built up and other self-improvement so I can get all ready to go on a damage-inducing rampage! Was trying really hard to get elected both on-thread and by using Elect-Trick a lot, so I'd have XP to get Diamonds [6] and do night finds, but no luck. I was on Judge Wallace's but am now on Mud Street (invested Hearts [2] and [1] there last night). This means that anyone now moving out of Mud Street gets Electric Fenced - I assume that includes you guys, too. It also means with Extension Cord that I can hit anyone from here!


I had Friendship with Bek Okhan yesterday. Not a lot discussed, I'll go review that PM convo now for anything useful. I'm sure he was mixing lies and truths, but nevertheless I think he gave enough detail away to show that he is the LaRua Channeler.

I told him you were a cool cat and he should be friends with you if he gets the chance, insinuating you might do some sort of good favour for him but not saying what.

He has since said he did the 6-diamond cantrip on Meanas and found that Meanas is an Aces player. Good information if it is true, but unlikely the Alchembioist could have the diamonds for that. So don't bother trying to befriend and throw a red pill reference at Meanas or Ultama.

If Judge goes to you, I'd recommend lynching Ultama, Bek Okhan and Meanas, since we suspect best that they aren't on our team and they're also all distinct enough from the current picks. You'd be revealed on-thread as the Judge but you can always say that you had no reason to suspect there was much of a chance of you getting picked as Judge so didn't put too much thought into your lynch submissions.

If I wind up with Mayor and Judge in the jalan scenario, I will try to play it like Jalan was indeed Mayor and I don't know why he picked me as Judge, basically pretending I have no idea what's going on and hoping to lay blame on Jalan. Jalan will of course say he did not pick me but I will try to twist the blame onto him.

Then I'll try to Elect-Trick successfully every day so we never get a Mayor reveal to counter me. From Mud Street with Extension Cord no one is out of range of it, so hopefully I can pull it off

Backup plan if everyone turns on me on-thread is to go crazy with Recharges and 5-Card Studs in an endless loop of resetting my dice and Elect-Trick'ing everyone in the game. Haven't heard back from PS yet if I'm going to be allowed to get away with that one, though

97% - Bek Okhan is LaRua Channeler. I actually suspected this already before he did the 5-card stud. He's a terrible liar, and pretty sure he was the one investing in the Mormon House on day 1. 85% - Meanas is an Aces player. Not sure which one.

75% - Ultama is the Southern Scion. Whether he is or isn't, he definitely has a Diamonds [6] die and has been trying to do finds at night.


Haven't garnered enough from off-thread comms with Denul yet to really figure him out, he's more reticent than the others so less dissection possible.

True, but probabilities is all I have because not so much interesting stuff has happened to me! I've just been camping in a corner mostly, getting my items and other self-improvement ready.

I wonder if there was lots of insanity in the first few days and if that'll go down or keep going. No one seems to be dying from attacks, I wonder if insanity might end up killing a lot more people than loss of heatlh.

Yeah, if True Grit required using a die instead of destroying it, it wouldnt be so bad, but that's the only common way to restore sanity it seems. Probably end up later in the game with a whole bunch of people hiding on seperate map locations to avoid losing any more sanity and only moving at night to try and get lucky with attacks before retreating back to their corners.

Be hilarious if the game ended with only a few survivors, all of them insane, and they fail to hurt each other but all slowly kill themselves.

Ok. Check it. No longer doing the night action on this location. Safe to stay. I'm also not gonna go for this one, u can have it. I'm moving out phase 2. I attacked Jalan with u. Wager during day, attack during night. So with your day attack, my day wager, plus my night attack hits him no matter where he goes if I win my wager, and if you can hit him again tonight, we might be able to kill him, and both gain the XP from it.

If we successfully kill him, and gain XP and whatever else, we should try to team up and kill someone from time to time. If we repeat what we did today, it should make for a decent double attack. After today, send me telegram if you find someone location and want to both hit them. Or say help if you need heal. I can't guarantee I can get there, but I'll try. I will expect you to do the same for me. This could be very helpful in long run. And worst case scenario is that later in game, we are on enemy factions, but it won't really change things then. We will just cancel alliance and do what we have to. I just say we wait until we have to. Also, if you find any of your faction, get them on board. I will keep my team off you for now, and that's a powerful ally to have. With this set up, there's not much room for back stabbing. We can just stop helping each other when we have to, or want to.

No hex from me, attacked Jalan by destroying an item instead. If I win my wager, it will let me attack him even if he moves. And yes, if you don't want to waste an attack on him tonight, then don't. I think the XP we gain if we kill him is worth the shot, though. We can add one to any of our dice permanently. So if you're low in luck or dodge, add one. XP gains might be very helpful in long run. Imagine if we can get like +5.

I've got a convo going with Bargy, too. He didn't claim Card Shark to me yet, but was hinting towards Aces. I'll tell him you put in a good word for him and that I'll leave him well enough alone if he does likewise. Obviously by the end of the game we'll have to turn on him at some point, as Aces must die for Cult to win (I don't think an investment victory is likely now), but we can leave him for last and/or hope someone else offs him instead of us. I do like his analyses on-thread and he's a more active player so seeing him live longer'd be fine by me.

I dunno if I believe that he's also insane, though.

I've had a not particularly good weekend, I'd not even spotted signals I'm afraid. My brain is fried today after a 3 hour hell-drive this morning and my other halfs uncle having a cardiac event over the weekend. Fine and stable now but likely going to have an implant, not a pacemaker but something to give him a bolt if it flutters again.

You can deal with it, it's not a big amount of pressure. You owned up straight away to your choices - nice swap btw, if I didn't put a bit of pressure on you someone who wants you dead might. Did the naming of the Judge take you by surprise? It certainly did me. So that ability is off your roster for a few days yet, can't strike in the same place twice or you're fried. Denul now has the chance to pull the same.

Cast is the Card Sharp but is insane hence no investing last Day, we've come to a sort of plan between us - he's going to spread shit as far and wide as he can to mess with as many people as possible. His shoot out at Mormons was aimed at getting him into the LaRua Mormon house convo, we have signals set up between us that are a bit more obvious, Jalan wussed out though. He'll do the same today I don't doubt, maybe against someone else. If you, by gods win the gamble - he'll pull RR on the location which if you lose you attack yourself with your strongest attack, happened to Jalan when Liosan called him out to DDD. Cast doesn't seem to have twigged that if I don't want him dead he wants me dead so I'm waiting for him to do so and Wager me, I've got a 65432 diamonds ready and waiting for anyone stupid enough to try me. Do note the Card Sharp being insane will narrow down which role was at a location in my Day investment summary.

Jalan is LaRua, courtesy of a find. Liosan didn't hang around after the shoot out day - I moved there for Night and the find failed on him so he'd scarpered, making me think Liosan is a Wager role too, possibly Locomindhive given his not moving at all.

I've currently got my ass sat on Mud Street, got a C3Peon with me and I took 1 damage today so there's someone insane here with me. I'm going to summon a Gatling Goat here after Wagers are resolved, unless you're here and struggling for sanity. It'll become Wanted if anyone/thing dies but I'll get a report of who was present and it should do damage to those summoned beasts from Day 1. I'm crippled by the lack of bullets really, I need to kill something myself but shit that is unlikely.

As you can see there's enormous scope for you to tell me nothing about your abilities whilst establishing a sort of mutual trust. As I'll be allowing you the same but letting you specify the item and the word and giving you 3 asks you have the potential to gain on the deal, with the same specification that item names are excluded when in the text.

You may be wondering why I'm doing it - if I can garner some information then I can make more informed decisions. You getting more than me is a trade-off I'm willing to make to increase my own personal stocks.

I have not got a plan because I didn't consider becoming my own man this early into the game. I thought i'd be able to get away from losing sanity. I am unsure what to do.

My brain is fried today after a 3 hour hell-drive this morning and my other halfs uncle having a cardiac event over the weekend. You can deal with it, it's not a big amount of pressure. You owned up straight away to your choices - nice swap btw, if I didn't put a bit of pressure on you someone who wants you dead might. Did the naming of the Judge take you by surprise? It certainly did me. So that ability is off your roster for a few days yet, can't strike in the same place twice or you're fried. Denul now has the chance to pull the same.

Cast is the Card Sharp but is insane hence no investing last Day, we've come to a sort of plan between us - he's going to spread shit as far and wide as he can to mess with as many people as possible. His shoot out at Mormons was aimed at getting him into the LaRua Mormon house convo, we have signals set up between us that are a bit more obvious, Jalan wussed out though. He'll do the same today I don't doubt, maybe against someone else. If you, by gods win the gamble - he'll pull RR on the location which if you lose you attack yourself with your strongest attack, happened to Jalan when Liosan called him out to DDD. Cast doesn't seem to have twigged that if I don't want him dead he wants me dead so I'm waiting for him to do so and Wager me, I've got a 65432 diamonds ready and waiting for anyone stupid enough to try me. Do note the Card Sharp being insane will narrow down which role was at a location in my Day investment summary.

Jalan is LaRua, courtesy of a find. Liosan didn't hang around after the shoot out day - I moved there for Night and the find failed on him so he'd scarpered, making me think Liosan is a Wager role too, possibly Locomindhive given his not moving at all.

I've currently got my ass sat on Mud Street, got a C3Peon with me and I took 1 damage today so there's someone insane here with me. I'm going to summon a Gatling Goat here after Wagers are resolved, unless you're here and struggling for sanity. It'll become Wanted if anyone/thing dies but I'll get a report of who was present and it should do damage to those summoned beasts from Day 1. I'm crippled by the lack of bullets really, I need to kill something myself but shit that is unlikely.

How sure are you that he's really insane? I think claiming to be insane will be the most common fake story for PMs, makes anyone seem like less of a threat.
