Dunno how reliable it is, but 'Heavy Turrets that need multiple titans to defeat, some can be hacked by pilots' and Ziplines.
Also, 'regeneration' is apparently 'Presitge'.
And a 'Pilot Hunter' mode that is TDM where only pilot kills count, killing grunts/specters/titans count towards getting your titan faster, but nothing else.

It mostly sounds reasonable. I figured some of those larger turret-like structures on Fracture might be accessible as gun emplacements.
Though anything that takes "multiple" Titans to defeat is setting the bar a bit high, imo, unless it's a specific asymmetric map thing to make games harder for an "attacking" team, or whatever.
I've never really liked 'prestige' - I totally get being able to reset your levels and start the climb over again, I just don't really see it as something that...uhm...people should be too proud of? It's essentially a game time mile-marker, and that's it. While it does connote a certain amount of dedication to the game, it's not exactly rewarded for having any great skill at the game, just time spent playing. *shrug* I'd rather they made the final ranks harder to advance, or something, myself. But meh.

The only way to do that would be to require things that are hard to do to go to the next prestige. I think the COD emblem system solves that nicely, since you unlock emblems by doing stuff, sometimes stupid, sometimes awesome, sometimes lucky. BF's dogtag is similar, but those generally just require time.
edit: also you can't see dogtags in lobbies or w/e.

Titty Falls comes out tomorrow. I've seen positive reviews. Any of you gamers going to get an Xbox One because of this title? I want to, very badly, but I also want to get a PS4 because of Infamous: Second Son, so I am waiting to see how that game is received. Ahhh, decisions. I anticipate I will get both systems eventually, but in the short run, need to pick one or the other based on these titles (and possible exclusive titles being released to each platform this year).

I bought a copy for PC but it isn't out before Friday in Europe.
I saw plenty of positive reviews but I wouldn't trust a single one of them that has given it a score with out waiting to see how it handles actual server stress.
Sim City and Battlefield 4 also got great reviews and then the player base hit the games servers like a ton of bricks.
I am also disappointed to see how little gameplay or game mode variety there is in the game.
Like somebody mentioned on Reddit this seems more like Respawns stepping stone before they release Titanfall 2.

About the server issue, I guess South Africa is being left out because of the shitty performance.
I agree about the lack of game modes. It's too bad. Maybe they can rush a Titanfall 1.b that adds additional game modes. By the way, is the single player campaign any good? On the reviews I perused, I just paid attention to the multiplayer, because, lets be honest, that is the primary reason to get into these types of games.
Also, have they provided any information about a DLC calendar/season?

There is no single player. Its all multiplayer, and there is apparently a 6 mission 'story' mode from both sides you can play in multiplayer.
There will be 3 paid DLC releases and other 'stuff' that are free downloads, according to an interview with Zampella.

TotalBiscuits "WTF" impressions suggested that there is little actual story in the game. It's just the multiplayer maps with some dialogue and story being delivered via radio chatter or quick clips.
There is 6 or 9 missions for each of the two factions that basically just tells the story from their differing POVs. They are around 10 minutes in length a piece.

In other words, the reason it hasn't been mentioned in detail yet is because it's not worth talking about, and they would get more interest out of it by keeping it a mystery.

Its just some additional cutscenes added on to some multiplayer games on specific maps, afaik. I think it was IGN who said 'I played the 'campaign', and can't tell you what it's about, besides the two sides are in a war'. So yea, campaign = joke. But then this game has never been about the campaign and even in the early-ish interviews, they talked about how you spend the majority of your time creating the campaign that is over in 10 hours and then players play hundreds in multiplayer. If people thought the it was going to have a serious, discreet campaign, you aren't researching your purchases properly.

Honestly, it's more to do with the fact that the media (like IGN) have constantly mentioned it, and usually with a "and we don't know what it's about". That's practically *trying* to make it more mysterious/important than it is. Personally, I don't give a damn, as the game has been billed as multiplayer from the start, but it's definitely something which has had people's noses twitching, when it really shouldn't.
Besides, there's a difference between "campaign multiplayer" and "a few short cutscenes/voice chatter in a certain playlist". The former implies...you know, something worth being mentioned. The latter is meaningless.

Watching the Rev3Games livestream of Titanfall. It's still going on here: http://www.youtube.c...ev3Games/videos.
It was stated that the "campaign" is part of the team death match and domination modes in multiplayer, and that those modes should be something you do first because you can unlock a titan chassis. So there you go, I guess.

Ooohhh! Just discovered that Titanfall goes live at midnight tonight! I thought it was going to be the night between Thursday and Friday like usual but it looks like they are releasing it on a Thursday for some reason.
And Thursday is my day off. Oh baby.
Now for the pivotal decision. Stay awake and wait for the unlock at midnight and play against all the people logging on or go to bed and get up early like a kid on Christmas morning.
Eh, the games servers are probably going to get pummeled tonight.

I've been reading and watching interviews about some of the game play action, and man oh man it sounds awesome:
- Rodeoing on an enemy Titan and calling in your Titan, jumping away and watching your Titan crush the enemy Titan you were just on.
- While in your Titan, exiting (not ejecting) out of the Titan and kicking off the enemy that is rodeoing on your Titan.
- Mantling and using your knife to hang high up on a building and then dropping down onto an enemy Titan.
- Using your Titan as "bait" to bring in enemies. This too me is almost like the mutiplayer game play mode "Demolition", which I enjoy greatly.
- Using the grunts as cover and blending in with them as you move across the map.
And the amped burn cards for the weapons sound friggan sweeeeeet!

Okay I think I have put around 10 hours into the game now.
Not sure what to think though. Is the gameplay fun? Yes, it's like playing what Call of Duty should have evolved into 3 years ago. You're faster, more agile, the environments are more interesting. On the other hand it just doesn't feel like there's a lot of meat on these bones. There's 15 maps but they don't feel THAT different, few game modes, not a lot of weapons, few attachments or perks or skills. Only 3 Titans who really don't play different other than the speed and durability.
I also have problems with the pacing of the game. I usually end up getting killed fast during the epilogue where I have to sit and wait for the game to end. Then there's the loading screen. Then you have to wait 90 seconds for the next round to start and then there's more loading. It completely takes me out of the experience. I feel like Alt+tabbing after each match because I have to wait more than 2 minutes between the actual gameplay.
Like it has already been suggested, this game feels like it was the prototype and the real game will be the sequel. In that regard, 60 dollars (which I didn't pay admittedly) feels a bit steep. This should have been a 30 or 40 dollar title. It's been discussed whether Call of Duty should even have a campaign but if Titanfall is any evidence, then the multiplayer needs to be much bigger and diverse if they want to justify the price tag.

Well, its a playlist you have to play in order. There IS a story to it, with betrayal and revenge and a crazy south African with blonde tips that thinks war is a game.
That said, its pretty mehtastic since its all pretty much in the middle of the fights. You get a ~60 second pre-fight briefing, then a post-fight cutscene (which changes depending on which side you are playing and if you won or lost) and that's about it. It certainly isn't anything special or unforgettable.

Who is still playing Titanfall?
I've actually gotten more into the game the past week. I've been focusing on specific loadouts and completing certain challenges. It's made the game a lot more fun.
Currently I am in love with the LMG. One round I managed to take out four Titans in a row by rodeo'ing them to death. The LMG with the hammer attachment kills Titans shockingly fast. Each time I killed one I launched into the air and landed on another one or on a rooftop I could use to jump to the next one. Felt pretty badass.

I am.
I've really been enjoying last titan standing. I love how the mechs play and having a game type that is more tactical is great to play with friends. 40mm cannon with burst fire and the triple threat are my two favorites depending on the map size. Using burn cards smartly means I can usually either start with a core ability or have one within the first minute or so, and the damage core is deadly with those two weapons. I actually had a triple titan kill with the triple threat and damage core running, which was awesome.
I haven't tried the LMG yet, as I've been trying the different smgs and rifles, but it sounds like I should try it out. How is it against ground forces?

Not great initially. The way it works, the first few seconds you are firing the gun kicks pretty violently, then it settles down and you can sustain a long barrage of suppressing fire even at long range but it takes some getting used to.
So far my favorite two weapons is the burst fire assault riffle and the second SMG you unlock.

The R101-C is absolutely OP. And yes, the CAR is an amazing SMG.
I'm (clearly) still playing it. Enjoying every mode and hope they come out with more gametypes with an expansion. FFA would be interesting, something where you can only have a limited amount of Mechs up at a time per side would be cool (like 2?), and then something like 'Mech Hunter' where a random person starts with a mech and whoever kills them gets a mech, and there isn't anyway to get a mech otherwise, and have it be a FFA? A king of the Hill mode would be really interesting, especially with Titan Punch and Nuclear Ejection.
