I certainly had a problem with the idea of letting a Judge accrue more than one lynch. And have been just about the ONLY person actually trying to get some discussion started on getting a mayor elected early. But hey, no one actually seems to give two shits. What's a guy to do?

As I read up I'm going to keep an eye on those players and see if any of them didn't vote, which would indicate they were already on the mormon house.

I hadn't even thought about the 'you can't vote while on Mormon House' tile ability when I was looking at that stuff, good catch! Wasn't there someone who was openly unwilling to vote on thread? Maybe we found a reason?

Interesting point... especially if several people from the same faction used the Mormon House's ability to identify each other and take control of it.

He say in his first post that he'll dedicate more time the next day and then never shows up for it. Then it seems yesterday/this morning he was online for a 4-hour stretch or so but still never posted anything. After 48 hours into the game, there's really no excuse for not at least trying to post some content, but instead he just drops a few asinine comments and disappears again.

He's clearly still playing the game though, as his bullets count goes down each time.




Bek Okhan scares me a bit, as he put only a [1] bullets die as his active thread die on Day 1:

But he not only brought that die down to [0], but also did two Friendship cantrips and who knows how many other abilities. I'm also suspicious that he picked a low die on-thread to hide being in mormon house and then conspired through Friendship to get the mormon off-thread comms.


In both cases, Hanas and Bek Okhan, these players are playing the game but withholding from voting, participating or making any waves in the game thread. Since this is a faction game like ToD where we don't automatically all know our leaders (or leaders all knowing their followers), getting information from the game thread is critical, and any player who tries very hard to remain an enigma on-thread like these two make me very wary of what powers they are hiding.

So, if made Judge my selections for Lynchees will be Hanas and Bek Okhan. I've already submitted these choices as final.

If the thread as a whole agrees you can pick someone trustworthy to be Mayor who will pick me as Judge. If the thread leans elsewhere, so be it. I'm not even necessarily going to automatically vote for what would make me Judge, as new information and feelings might come out throughout the day, too. I'm just making this a public and concise option for discussion and as an example of how I hope we can keep things efficient with the elections to avoid missing another one and making future judges too powerful.

There is a ton of things happening in this game, and to be honest it's hard to follow. I'm not super-math guy like Barghast. My main contribution in this post is that it's pretty insane with all of the interactions, both public and private, and assuming any one thing will go "as expected" is probably a bad idea.

Open comms if you can. I already used two cantrips.

I can say for now that I will nominate Meanas for Judge if elected, but I'd still need to hear from all others whose votes I'd need. Hopefully, a general consensus can he reached. I'd like the XP from Mayor, as well as securing the lynch, but the judge gets TWO lynches. I'd want to hear his lynch targets again, as the lynch targets are the true important piece of the puzzle.

I'm wondering about this scenario. The mayor sends player A as Judge. The judge, player A, has already sent his choice for lynch into PS, say player X. So, once the mayor is chosen, PS sees that player A is the judge choice, and that player A selected player X as the lynchee. Does PS post the choices of Judge and Lynchee, or does player X just get lynched? Maybe I'm over-thinking this.

We have plenty of time, so does anyone want to volunteer their lynch choices, so that I, or whoever gets mayor can start choosing their judge? At least we would have a more solid idea about who we end up lynching.

For example, if I'm mayor and players A, B, and C say they will lynch X, Y, and Z if made judge, we can start choosing who we want as Judge. Wow, this is complicated, eh.

Having finished a re-read, there are still too many unknowns,

that being said, If I'm appointed as a judge, my targets will be Hanas and Demelain. Hans, because low-posts, and Demelain, b/c I'm getting an impression he's not on my team.


ETA, since i'm adding bullets anyways: I'll wait on bargy to make us another "if you want X lynched, vote Y for mayor" chart, but I'm amenable to vote anyone who picks judges that think along the same lines as me.
