That extension cord is a total bitch. Well played D'rek and Messremb. We had your number, we just couldn't do anything about it soon enough (and cough helped by modkills cough) :D

I couldn't do anything to help the Aces after I lost Sanity very early in the game. I initially gained us Mud Street. I was going to plow investments at each location every day but I lost 3 sanity at day one and another 3 night one or day 2. I started with 6.

I could have put 5, 5, 5, 5 into each location each day. I could win any wager.

So anyone know how I lost Sanity that quickly?

You plunged down on the starting Location of Jalan, who summoned a crap-ton of stuff day 1 from dice. During Blend's spat with LioHub in which he moved Blend to DDD, where he responded to your Russian Roulette Wager by summoning another 3 alts to attack Liosan with. It drove both you and Liosan crazy but also generated a general exodus to that tile with people eager to hit both Gust and Blend.

Moral of the story: always, always move, every single phase. It will make it a whole lot less likely that you'll be victim to a single player several times.
And attack every night, too, if you have the Bullets. If you are afraid to hit a player, target a temporary alt. If it doesn't die, then Brag about it - because if it didn't die at the end of the phase or was out of reach, it's a summon.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Did we lynch Lock? Because if we did that should have been Brujah's first lynch the weasel!

I only moved once the whole game and that strategy worked for me. But then I picked my location wisely :D

You'd have to pick a player that is at the same location as you and is not on your team. Very hard to do, and then if you do attack, they may win the battle anyway. So many choices for this game, and my mind was blown. I don't know how everyone else knew what they were doing

This game proves that D'rek is one of the best mafia players around. Khell your winning streak has come to an end.

Edit. To expeand on that, out of all of the players in their alts, D'rek seemed to use hers perfectly.

Tapper, who else played their role as you expected? Who did you see use their dice to the best of their ability?

I stripped it down personally. I didn't do attacks, I didn't do wagers. I just focused on communication and healing.

I know! And there's still nothing I would have done differently. I'm very proud of the way our team played. Ugh, one more night and D'rek would have gone the way of the dodo :D

It's a shame they didn't want us dead. We could have went on and on until we claimed location. :D

If they win the battle (or rather, if they don't eat damage), their defensive dice still become used. If they're not in range, all you'll spend is a bullet die. Better to try and fail, than not try and keep your opponent intact. Likewise, Location wagers are worth it - if they fail because the target is out of reach, you'll get that message and you'll know not to target them with other abilities in the day phase.

Don't bank on it - we already controlled the lynch; one of my and one of Denuls summoned beasts could vote with us, giving 5 votes at our call. We were just not speed lynching till we found out for sure if there was another LaRua out there.

Good game folks, I have a nice spreadsheet back home that I'd pinned down most of your roles on :D Alas, my play suffers on holiday it seems.

Shall I save the delights of finding out what LioHubb and Fanderelve think of me till I'm home? Sorry but I loved the lynching of him and how it'd screw with Cast. FWIW Cast, I was on site, you just lost to a Diamonds 65432 :p

Can't log in as myself for a while so may be random posts from Barghast for a while.

Reckon I've arrived as a Mafia player?

:D D'rek would still have been dead regardless of your vote shenanigans.

I forgot to mention the staggering number of codes I devised for the Aces to use. We probably had a code informing the others for what reason we went to the loo :D

I got a message saying that you were out of reach, I had 4 of a kind 5's as you probably knew, why would you have tried to win? To keep me from gaining Sanity? Which was futile anyway as I couldn't gain Sanity myself

I didn't fancy your investments threatening our hold on Mud Street which we needed for the win - you had to stay down I'm afraid and that set you back a Day. I wasn't actually expecting the win today, just an un-interfered with suicide and was gearing up for summoned slaughter. Next time I offer temp alts for the slaughter take me up on it, someone.

So, when is the next Tapper game? That was really quite fun, thank you :p

Even if I needed them, in exchange for role PMs, hardly! :p There was a reason I wouldn't have any dealings with you :D Very well played though, despite your, 'I hate Aces! I hate Uni! I hate summoners! I hate everybody and I'm totally like, not in one of the leading factions, noooo.' :p

Glad you liked it!
The next game of this complexity really won't be for a while.

For one, I'll want to look at Ghoul Gulch, change some roles, make timing clearer. I'll also want to set up a fool proof modding tool. For another, I really, really NEED co-mods. Thirdly, loved ones & social life suffered and they let me know that in no uncertain terms. So, no complex games for at the least 4-5 months.

Finally, as much as I like GG as a setting and as cool as I think it could be to run more often without much set-up time: I am still not ready to discard Tales of the Desert yet that needs tons of work still.

I might run one or more low TMDI games, though - anything I can resolve on the phone in 5-10 minutes isn't complex.
Everyone is entitled to his own wrong opinion. - Lizrad
