Still have the same problem. I've tried looking around in Avasts settings but I can't find anyway for them to ignore the website.

Yes, it's bloody annoying. :/ For the ref, I'm running def file 130801-1, and also have flagged the site as a false positive. Nej, njet, nicht, zero effect.

Even my tablet screams at it. But it least allows me to continue at my own risk. Seriously, wtf ?

It'll take a few days for it to be removed from the various AV filters.

How do you enable SCORPION STARE in the forums user settings?

It seems like it's always a .js file that causes these false positives. I swear, 90% of my internet-related problems have been caused by javascript or flash. If I ever meet anyone who worked on either of those monstrosities, I'm going to punch him/her/it right in their ugly mouth.

Aha! I think I figured out the avast fix. Go to Settings --> Global Exclusions --> Urls, and then enter forum.malazanempire.com. You can also temporarily stop the web shield and network shield, but that's obviously riskier.

Well after latest avast update the forum is blocked on my PC too. Specifically the web shield (which you can add an exclusion too) and the network shield, I wouldn't recommend unblocking those. I can't find the global exclusons setting on my pc or mobile.

We're trying to fix things on our end, but it looks like it is just a false positive, and we just need to wait until avast sort there end out.

I haven't found any viruses or malware so I've submitted a ticket to avast. I'll return once they've answered.

OK, could one or more of you upload screenshots of the error message in this thread?

Interestingly, Friday the Avast stopped blocking the forum. I haven't had any problems since.

Maybe Deadpool scared your problem away. I still get it if I remove the address from the exclusion list. Playing Finntroll doesn't aid either. :p

And screens.

Interestingly, I went through the quite substantial hassle of accessing the web page from work (usually I use my phone). The absurd amount of security I need to go through in order to do so did not have a mean thing to say about the forum.

OK, so avast says it's finding high severity malware in the theme images. Interesting. All right. Thanks, I'll relay these to the people.

According to a nice fellow by the name of Richard, the forum was blocked because malware was found in this thread. He didn't give me any detailed information and since the last post in that thread was made back in February this year, I am skeptical. Nevertheless, he said that since the malware is no longer there, the site has been unblocked.

In other words, this should be resolved now.

Xae, just curious/to prevent future similar problems, was there any reference at all to Nyarlathotep, or possibly the Many-Angled Ones?
