It's Shin's game, he can post whatever he wants.

of course he can.

but it'd be nice to hope for mods to understand that players on thread are dumb and impressionable lot. regardless of the mod's intent, their every word is ALWAYS scrutinised, and everyhtiogn they say is ALWAYS considered significant, whether they mean it to be or not.

I'm not criticising shin. I love writing scenes when I mod. But no matter how many disclaimers you put saying scenes are just flavour, there will always be players that take them seriously. and it does affect games. sometimes. In this case, I doubt it'd have made much difference. Tapper's play didn't give any objective reasons not to lynch him.

But if Galain were to follow his own logic to its conclusion he'd have realised that lish was BSing about being Arai. maybe. maybe not. I can't say. I do know that things like what happened here can really derail one's thought process. And it's a shame that it happened. And no, I'm not at all bitter that Muira get to freeload a partial win because my team was better at catching scum earlier. nope, not at all.

As much as I hate too....I agree with mentalist here.

Well, that was super fun.
I thought I was on the ropes a few times; I still don't understand the Cast thing (that's been in my head and I really thought SH would clear it up), but somehow I managed to pull through.
It's a pity we had a self-kill, but it probably just sped up the inevitable.

Does Bru realize he can just choose to kill? Jesus. Is this just so he keeps his unlynched status?

Wha...that's not fair, Zath. You thought we were guarded, too. My fault lies in thinking Target self = Target no one. Had I not thought I was guarded, which was exponentially increased when Barghast revealed as guard, I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Also for a while there, since Alkend was screwing with our messages, I thought the nights we didn't send messages, that they were being intercepted and read. I now remember thinking there being a small probability of someone on town being able to know who we targetted, but not who was doing the targetting. Was hoping they'd see Mockra as the Target, and it might help our cause. I flat out thought we were done. Alkend not sending those messages made me doubt them too much - so much that I stopped using them effectively.

My bad. I figured you were targeting the same people and being surprised when they weren't dying or not killing for some reason, and hadn't figured you could only target people in your castle. I thought by stopping your communications I could prod you into changing tactics. Also I was mad at the lack of kills.

I can say one thing though: you are DAMNED lucky you didn't try to reveal as Uesugi.

I was damned lucky with a lot of things in that game. I am so glad that D'rek didn't push harder. I was terrified throughout the game that she'd come down on me like a tonne of bricks.

Oh hey, Knucklehead's lost patience and has lynched Starling/Korbas. Oh dear.

Seriously, I am so freaking annoyed about this. What kind of idiot move is it for a town player to hammer ANYONE, two hours into game day, this close to the end of the game, without letting that player come on to defend themselves. That is actually bullshit.

As for the rest of the game, it was great. Amazing work from Lisheo, it had me fooled completely. I'm a little bit baffled how Cast was involved, and I was sure Rashan had mentioned something that was related to the reveal. Guess I have to go back and read spoilers when I have some spare time.

Rep incoming to mods and players for a fun game.

Great game. I would have voted Alkend on the last day, as scum did not hesitate killing Barghast post-reveal, so why keep Alkend around that long if he was inno?

For me, the late game trouble was that everyone on thread thought me a scummy bastard. My contribution case-wise was way too low, but train-wise I was pretty OK. And that was used against me. In honesty, with prepping GG, i spent also too much posting time in the DEV forum.

Also, Knucklehead hammering like that.... not good. Fitted town play this game, though.

Oh dear, reading up I was surprised Galain shot his load early. Messremb should take note, that he has played this game for the last two weeks, put lots of effort in, you shouldn't vote "just to get this over with" because all your past efforts are wasted. In that final act, you let scum win, albeit you may have gotten a partial victory. Three people left, you know you are innocent so you go back and read up on the other two, in this situation I would have been ALL over the Alkend reveal when he was at L1 or 2, also if you had waited for Gait to come on you would have had a lesson in mafia 101, one of the scummiest things on thread this game so far was Alkend's early vote on definite D day. Look at it from your point of view, you are town, you have two players left, one is definite scum. Are you 100% sure you are going to vote right? No. So there is doubt. He made no effort to go back and read up between you, and voted straight away. Look at his thoughts when posting for us in SH, shit I shot my load early. If you had used the time wisely you may have actually got Alkend and became Man of the match. Instead Alkend took the crown by the skin of his teeth. At least let Gait speak before lynching him. From memory I have been in your situation 4 maybe 5 times, I remember failing once and coming through twice. Remember HO? Remember Ansible? Live and learn I suppose but I was rooting for you.

Hi folks, damn that was frustrating but well done Alkend/Lisheo.

I've never been down to the final 3 before, or read a game that got that close so I'll use that as my excuse I think - now I need to go back and read all of SH to find out what the hell was happening for half the game. Yeah the insta-vote was dubious but that wasn't what I noticed, it was the saying there was only one choice and voting Gait, AFAIK I had done nothing to PI myself all game, started 2 town lynches and hammered 2 more so why was he saying Tapper? That was the basis behind me going for a re-read (that I never finished btw, I got distracted alas) as well as giving Shin some time to come up with more scenes (which, incidentally, I like the scenes, but not when PS lies to us on thread about them. Arai *had* fallen, if you're going to bold it and specify it on thread then damned well bold it and specify it on thread when it happened, don't say you will then not bother, that totally took my rising suspicions of Alkend out)

Plus of course the fact I'd been suspicious of Alkend since his reveal but no-one, literally no-one else was considering him non-PIed - sort of makes you doubt yourself when you're still new you know. Anyway time for a full read, back in a bit

Now I know this isn't you messing with the listing order to tell us who is scum, don't I? You're just doing it to screw with my head, right Gnaw?

JesusFuckingPants that's the order that gnaw put them into MafiaManager, with all the scum first.

I don't care how much "easier" it is, mafia manager will not be used for any future sengoku games.

Oh shiiiiiiiiit. Damn. Damning arse tits cock. Re-read everything. *EVERYTHING* next game. And yeah I was the only one who wouldn't genuinely pick up on that.
