EDIT: So town is split up (but not likely to make a difference for this game).

The game centres on two seperate sieges, so a first venture might be that stuff can be unlocked when all defenders of one castle are eliminated, or some such thing.
Secondly, the OP speaks of eliminating killers: generals. Who is to say that there's no different scum role apart from killer?

Nice!

Looks complex at first glance but it's actually a beautifully simple setup. I'm both happy and a mite disappointed not to be playing.

I think Brujah and Roldom have the potential for a good scum team. Azath and Lady Bliss both have a touch of inno in their play style which might help them out. But Venge with a vig...oh dear. I don't see that lasting long. Lisheo as the Aux general is very interesting, let's see how quickly Lishey's got back into the swing of mafia things :p/>/>

A lot of our known big talkers and speculators are RIs - that is very good for the game I reckon.


@ Shin:

I'll be off on holiday late tomorrow, so actually I would have been a very very poor substitute if anyone drops out. Hope all 19 of your players check in!

We have 4 that haven't read their alt pm. TheDude/Eloth and Trake/Knucklehead are RI. But Brujah/Mockra and Peanutbutta/Cast are roled. Arai castle FujiGen and Vengy's Captain.

Hard to say. There's enough talk about two castles in the OP and 'their' castle in their role PMs to start making them think that not everyone is within range - but whether they do catch on is another matter.

I imagine that a few will realise fairly quickly. But the question is will they then seek to inform others of this and spread that belief, or will they choose to keep it a secret?

(no underlining on actual CI's)


All scum generals (including the Aux) will have scum CI's.

I think one of my niches as a game-creator is taking well known themes and trying to balance them in new ways. In general I feel I have to leave the really complicated fully original setups to geniuses like D'rek and Tapper.

Although my skeleton makeup for the Sengoku finale is both ambitious and will be a superbitch to mod... And no, I will not give any hints. :p

If there is one mechanic that Sengoku players would be encouraged to remember going into future Chapters, it's the "inherit" mechanic. I will probably use it to some extent in every game going forward, and I won't always hint in PMs as to who might inherit something. Even RI's can become un-RI'd.

Desra, I'd assume that they would win together as a win by town helps even the playing field by weakening the scum team. Though for the continued story I'm curious how Shin will play it if town wins yet scum is able to eliminate one town faction entirely.


So then what are we thinking number wise? 3 scum, 2 teams of 8 town each? 5 scum, 2 teams of 7 town each?

Considering we only have to kill off the scum general(s), it seems to me that scum would have a slightly bigger than normal team, so I'd lean more towards 5 scum. Any thoughts?





My initial guess is that there will be 2 groups of scum killers (generals) since there are 2 clans of town forces. Maybe a symp for each killer who knows only his boss. Would the 2 killers know each other? Any comms? Are there other scum roles besides these 2?

A more proficient game creating player could perhaps comment on balance at this point.
