It is only perminate as long as your on the tile. If you move then that tile is no longer fortified. But you will start to fortify the new tile that you are on.

Actually, fortifications built by Earth Furies are permanent.

If I go on the assumption the vord all start at narash or shaur, and that they cant hop over locations, I should probably hop down to raise fortifications and create a choke point....

I think Im probably powerful enough to take a few hits and high tail it out of there (+2 movement) when the getting gets tough especially with my extra armour bonus and ability to heal myself....

If you guard someone then the person who you are guarding is guarded so they can't do anything. But other people can do things to them.

So if you guard Gait and gillin attacks gait. Gait is guarded, Gillin isn't.

I would guess that the Vord are either weakend by not being in a full infested place or strengthed, so taking the fight to them would be risky...
theres +5 infestation in shaur. I'm guessing that 5 players is probably the max for the vord, and It would seam unlikely that they are all in Shaur. Im guess thing the Queen at least is in narash.

I think I have two plans to start with
safe plan = move to Elinarch, start building defences, get ready for the attack, but abandoning Shaur to become fully infested

Risky plan = charge to Shaur and use the knights Pisces, hopefully scattering the Vord accross the tiles where they can get caught and killed off. halting or at least slowing down the infestation of Shaur, would put the rest of the realm at risk, but as long as the vord are scattered we should be able to sweep down and stop them easily enough

I'm leaning towards the risky plan at the moment but I have ages to consider it, I could always try to reach Narash and use the knights Pisces to throw the queen out into the open....

I could be totally off though. Then again I can be "recruited" by First Aleran, so maybe that's worked into their abilities, and they are actually as small as 3.
