And now he has a heal, so he can keep healing himself and he should be able to survive unless everyone starts actually going after the Vord.

Even then they aren't going to be going after the right one. Does he have access to water now too? Once he does the fire casters won't be able to hurt him.

Yep, when he infested Antillus, he unlocked his Water Furies. Heh, he may just slither his way to a win, the bastard!

Holy madness in thread! I'm not even fully caught up. They're all over the place. I would be the same way. I had no idea how the Vord were working when I died. I feel bad for all of them except Pran Chole. That guys is acting like an idiot.

But mucho props to Khell. That shit was brilliant.

Dear Fener:
I miss our little chats.
Love, The Brujah

Way over the place. I was coming around to the thought that we really should be concentrating on those alts when I went a step too far in dealing with tatts not seeming to understand simple sentences. He may earn a place on my proto-list for that

Oh I miss them too, you were my first lover Brujah and I'll always remember how gently you treated me, how you sucked me dry of all I had to give and then left me, alone once more, cast empty and adrift without you.

Oh my god. Khell has so much ridiculous luck and skill I can literally only sit back and be amazed. This possibly the finest play I've seen since JA was in Mafia.
He's not even on my faction and I want to see him win.

He was completely in my blind spot. So blind, he didn't exist.

I'm going to go ahead and say that I think your handling of the reveals and modkill situation could have been much better. You can say "it's in the regular forum mafia rules" all you want, but the facts are that {a} you didn't bother to post those rules at the start of the game, or any other rules about what was allowed for reveals, {b} it is very rare to consider revealing your player name as being "quoting your role PM" - in many, many games there are no restrictions on revealing and so using your player name is not at all forbidden, regardless of how you interpret rule B7 in the strictest sense, and {c} the B11 rule didn't used to exist... in fact I was surprised to even see that when I looked for a recent posting of the rules in another game thread, because it definitely did not used to exist before at some point.

Now yes, there were some vague comments from the mods in plain text about revealing earlier in the thread, but let's be fair we all know lots of players skim the thread or forget things. So that'd be very easy to miss.

And so the end result is that you're punishing players for doing something that would be allowed in 90% of other mafia games, and that the only mention of it being not allowed is some vague mod comments buried on page 46 out of 75.

I don't think reveals necessarily should or should not be allowed, but it's the kind of thing that if you're this strongly opposed to it, why not just add a few sentences to the OP of the game expressing that and making it simple for everyone to know that the line is different in this game than most other games?

Game specific reveal rules are very common for many good design/balance reasons, but yeah, those need to be specified right from the beginning on the first page. Especially the name thing.

Still, it should be understood by all players that quoting should and will bring the modhammer down.

Gee thanks for going over shit we did. Wow your a pal aren't you. Mrs ban people from Sh for the same thing.... Fener was the only for cause mod kill and that was for word for word pm reveal. I don't really think that when it comes to mod kills and the handling of them you have a none hipocriticale leg to stand on. Plus since when do mafia players pay any more attention to the rules on the front page then they do any thing else the mod posted...

It should be noted that you can not attack across the blue line if that is what you are attempting to do..

If I can just get a small window of opportunity to get all the Vord together, I could half-infest a tile even without MI. Today is not that day, and maybe not tomorrow either. But a full-on rush by the Vord against one tile (and one enemy) would half-infest and probably obliterate that person. Tomorrow I will have Ryll (but in Narash), and probably Alkend with the way the voting is going. Rashan is unlikely to survive.

If I can move to Shuar the next day in preparation to strike...what is it they say about the best-laid plans? :thumbsup:/>

Galain, we might have to cancel the heal. Only the Vord queen can kill me, and if we accept the armistice, then I will be, in practical terms, unkillable except by lynch, and if we accept the armistice, we'll deadlock on lynches.

Okaros, on 10 July 2013 - 10:31 PM, said:

But also, we can't trust the vord any further than we can throw them

Okaros, on 10 July 2013 - 10:36 PM, said:

Don't cancel it now, but know that we might want to if events take a turn towards the armistice.

Also, what are your thoughts on the Alkend armistice thing?

Galain, on 11 July 2013 - 12:06 AM, said:

you know we are gonna get screwed either way. We should try to determine if the alliance exists (which it probably does), and if it can be turned over to our side (no idea how to do that). If we could get rid of the Loyalists it would be best of all.

Yeah, that makes sense. Since I already was attacked and am convinced it was a loyalist, I do believe in the alliance. In Ceres, we can go to Kalare, where all the FA are, or Alera imperia, where (I believe) Lio is, or Elinarch, where I suspect the vord will go. So we'll be able to go wherever we need to be.

the only way I can see to turn the alliance to our side is to take out the loyalists ASAP, then the FA will have no choice but to ally with us. Or ally with the Vord for a cycle, and turn on them after they help us take out the loyalists/ weaken the FA. Then the FA will need us to win. option 1 seems better IMO because it doesn't depend on the vord.

Galain, on 11 July 2013 - 12:03 PM, said:

you realize I'm the one that is showing up as a loyalist, right? it's a defense mechanism

should I explain that on thread or keep it to ourselves?

so rashan is on the other side of the blue line....

i can move two spaces, and ive only moved one so far, but its iron man, so im guessing im stuck in elinarch?

I did not say that. What I said is if your intention was to attack across the blue line you can not.

I will double check with blend but I believe that you are stuck in Elinarch.
