I was really friggin' disappointed to hear that Prey 2 as we have seen it so far is now essentially no more

Basically due to fucking stupid arse-hattery on the part of Bethesda (the parent publishers, not the dev studio), the company that was making the awesome looking game (Human Head) has parted ways and handed them an incomplete game. And they want nothing to do with Bethesda now, but Bethesda own the rights to the game, so Human Head can't finish and release it themselves.
They've started work on their own game, which may be the Prey 2 we saw in everything but name, we don't know yet though, and this would mean a large wait for it.
Bethesda has apparently handed the incomplete reigns to Arkane, which could turn out well (Dishonoured was great), but we don't know what state the game was passed over in and if they'll finish off the development or start anew (and if they continue they may be sabotaged by the difficulty trying to finish off a product not their own).
I'm actually kinda hoping Arkane don't make the game we saw, because I feel like Human Head did much of the great work for a cool looking idea and then got shafted (in this scenario, I'd hope Human Head made an updated version and got the credit they deserve).
That is all relevant, because this was a game I was wondering about with E3 coming.
The other things:
- I would like to (but know I won't) see more on CCP's World of Darkness game.
- I am hoping there is more interesting info about Cyberpunk 2077.
- I'm not too fussed about seeing more on the Witcher 3, because I have already seen enough that I am sold
Unless they have an awesome cinematic to show, CDProject make great cutsenes.
- Mistborn: Birthright. I know very little about this game, but what I do know is awesome (it's a Mistborn game and Sanderson is on board for story and dialogue), so I want more info.
- Obviously I am curious about the PS4 and Xbone stuff.
- There are also a couple of studios that probably have a few announcements coming that I am curious about (what Star Wars games EA is making and a couple of other studios working on "secret" projects)
That's all I can think of for the moment, though I know I am forgetting some things.
Ryse looks interesting, thanks Obdi
Also, OI;
A decent bunch of console games won't be available on PC. Most notably those that are by studios/IP owned by Sony or Microsoft. Sony own quite a few really good game dev studios, which is why they have so many awesome exclusives.
Other than that though, any other game that is made for the PS4 would be pretty stupid not to release on PC. The PS4 is now using the same architecture as PCs, so porting a game will be really damn easy. Obviously I am hoping they do a good job of actually changing control and UI stuff for PC (I hate how bloody lazy some games are with this), but otherwise there's not much work to it.
(^That is based on my understanding of how all that works, which is admittedly a bit murkey, but I'm fairly sure on. Also bits like "really damn easy" are context based comments, there'll still be some back end changing to make it work with various hardwares, allow graphics options, etc., but it's easy and not much work in the scheme of things)
Edit: Mentalist beat me to mentioning Prey 2. But weirdly enough his comment didn't show up for me till I posted mine
