Here is my reasoning for only giving him the second set of day 2 minutes. He had not yet gotten the first set of minutes so it was like that time period never happened. If he had gotten the first set then he should definitely get the second set also. But since he didn't get the first set before time went back then those would be over written with the second set.

Yeah, and that definitely falls into the alternate timelines thing. Okay, agreed! That means he'll only get the post where Nimander puts in an order to recruit Eloth.

Gah, the thing is that this sorta contradicts what I told Gnaw about how it would work if time was reversed. I told him if time were reversed, he'd get the two half hours. I think I have to stick to that.

Ummm your the mod. It is our duty to keep the balance in the game not let players dicktate what direction the game goes...sigh...

I know, I was more musing out loud than anything. I don't like going back on something I've said, so in this case, I think I'm just going to give him everything from both half hours, as I've already told him that's how the mechanic would work.

I haven't been following the game at all but after reading the roles wouldn't it be very easy for the town time lord to track down the scum players based on his ability to move time? Since day one he knows that there are only 2 scum players and he knows who 2 town players are. Why doesn't he just take a little bit of time from half the players in the game and see how much time is actually moved. If it's off by x ie not off at all or y is off by two players worth of time he should halve the suspect field. Can't he just continue to repeat the process until he has located who scum actually is and then reveal on thread? Even if he can do this only once per day then he can right out of the gate narrow who the leading scum members are significantly.

I'm probably missing something in the mechanics but this game should be over in day one if the time lord figures this out.

I'm sorry I don't understand your question. How would the Town TL know which players he was taking time from. Yes he knows their role names but he doesn't (other then players who have died or died and been brought back to life) know which alt's they are. So he doesn't know which alts he is taking time from. He will learn which alts have been recruited but once again he won't know which role links up to which alt. Other then in the above mentioned cases.

So say that you where mistaken or rushed when you told him that was how it worked. Or that after careful consideration Venge talked you out of it. Or go with the uhh I changed my mind. Time is a constant stream and you can't go back over messages twice. I would give him blank messages from the first half hour and tell him that due to the rewinding of time they where wipped out. So then you wouldn't feel bad about going back on something that you said, cause technically you didn't. You just can't pass messages that didn't happen due to the time rewind and fastforward. It is a smartass thing that I would do.
