Wait what? Anthras' vote definitely counts? It looked within the time limit????

Not that I wanted to die, but I'm confused.

2.1 - Voting Mechanics
To change your vote for a player: First bold remove vote then vote for the new player.

2.2 - Voting Restrictions
You may only vote during the day phase. You can only have one vote outstanding at any time.

Bahaha DUH, oops, did not see that he didn't remove his vote.

(thanks, PS, hehehe)

How convenient for you? I sat around for half a day needing only one vote to end this game. If either one of the scum weren't on my train already, they could end it right there. I say it's you and Anthras. I was at 3 votes, and Anthras and you had already voted for me, so Anthras couldn't hammer me. Monok comes on and gives you your 3rd vote. At this point, Anthras is the only one around to hammer before time runs out. I'm sure it was just an accident that he doesn't remove his vote. If you're scum, then we know who your partner is at least. Plus, those posts you both made, after the fact, were a nice touch. So if you die and are scum, we have Anthras as your partner almost dead on. If not, then it won't matter either way. I've worked almost 30 hours in last couple days, and just in case I can't get on until late again tomorrow, I'm leaving my vote. We only need 3 votes now, so we won't need Anthras's vote.

Yeah I fucked up really bad. I was loosing my shit when I realised, staring at the fucking mod post wondering what went wrong. Hence my post just after. It was late I suppose, but that's some dumb shit from me (and what's worse, its the second time that day I made the mistake). I just don't care anymore. This is the worst I've ever played, in perhaps the worst game there's ever been.

I do apologize, and I know some of you will feel cheated, so
(I know this isn't necessary REMOVE FUCKING VOTE)

Vote Pallid

I'll be back in 8-9 hours if we want to rush things along and end this joke.

I like how two of the biggest suspects yesterday are both trying to drive a quick train on Pallid.

This assumes that Monok is on the thread and cares.

It was a game of oneupmanship. A game that went too far. Nobody thought that either side would possibly dare to go that extreme, that either one or the other, or hopefully both, would call it quits long before then.

But no, they refused to buckle. It had all started so brightly too.

The symp, having been royally fucked by a first-day lynch initiated in resplendently idiotic and unrealising fashion by his arch-nemesis, decided to act the fool in order to mess up the thread.

Oh, how deeply poignant and symbolic that decision turned out to be.

A few meaningless lynches later, a killer was trapped, cornered. A lynch which had never happened before in the history of mafia was about to happen.

The blindly loyal other killer refused to do the sensible thing, however. They did not hammer their partner, and in the end, there was no lynch.

Surely the end for both of them. After all, a stalled lynch and a mysterious disappearance after voting on a smaller train - there was something fishy there.

Apparently not. One man screamed at all and sundry, another ate his own fist rather than speak, two swung about in panicky circles, and one voice of reason was drowned out by the last innocent individual. A conspiracy theorist extraordinaire this last one, he looked everywhere, analysed every single piece of evidence, put the pieces of the puzzle together, added up the numbers...

And got it all spectacularly wrong. The reasonable man went first, of course.

The killers looked at what was happening, bemused. This was their chance to strike, a victory from the jaws of defeat. But instead, they decided they'd quite like to join this strange game of we-can-do-worse-play. They hadn't had quite enough.

Several facepalming scummy statements later, and of course the piece de resistance, a hammer vote which would have secured victory foiled by forgetting to actually remove their previous vote.

Town looked at this final chance for redemption. Town looked at the two killers quickly leap on to vote. Town looked and waited for a hammer which would not fall because the scum were already voting....

...And town abstained, and town voted with the killers.

It was a week to remember, that's for cetain.

Pallid has been lynched. She was innocent, and High House Dark.

Trake has been killed. He was innocent, and Vengeance.

Scum team Spite, Anthras, and Thyrllan (Brujah, Trull's Son, and Khellendros), erm, 'win' I guess!!

To everyone involved in this game, I urge you to read SH. It is well worth a read in all seriousness, because I think there was some extremely good on-the-fly analysis going on by the likes of Grief, Dude, Blend, etc.

SH password is peanut. I'm sure it will shortly be moved to the main thread anyway.

I would say good game and all but...damn, that was probably the worst played game I've ever witnessed. Glad we can move onto something else at least.

Many thanks to the mods for running it, and particularly it's always nice when mods make the effort to post all the PMs and stuff like that.

Years from now when our grandchildren ask where we were during the worst mafia game to have ever been, we can say "The horrible game? I was the horrible. Lived, breathed, shat, the horrible. We were it, and it was us"

Definite thanks to the mods. Also, I'd like to apologize if I came off as an asshole. I was frustrated most of the time... obviously.

It was...interesting to watch you guys..."think." Your "thought" processes were all unique. Like misshapen flowers that get bred out of a beautiful garden.

Thanks everyone for playing what will surely go down as the worst game of Mafia ever! I didn't have high hopes for a game following the beast that was 100, but dear lord, I wasn't expecting this!

That being said, I'm glad that I can say that I modded Mafia 101, and that it was officially horrible!

I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

That was quite the scene. Off the cuff or did you start writing it Tuesday?

Off the cuff. It sort of came to me. Almost as if I was just relating exactly what happened... :p
