It's been sooo long since the last Dresden book. I can barely remember this series any longer. It's about some white haired old lawyer named Kojak who drives around in a talking helicopter called Herbie, trying to solve the case before it selfdestructs or something, right?

No, that was 'Airwolf'.

I miss Stringfellow Hawk. God damn that man was cool.

EDIT: Just looked him up on wikipedia:

That guy lived a rough life.

A couple months ago I found several of the Dresden Files books at a thrift store and my sister purchased the whole set online so we are both reading them. I am about 200 pages into Summer Knight and I am really getting into this series. My sister has gotten to book 12 already but I am reading other books in between so I'm behind but she assures me it just keeps getting better.

Storm Front- just ok for me. I liked Harry and they are such quick reads and I already had the books so I wanted to continue.

Fool Moon- better in many ways but the fact that Harry was exhausted, shot, bitten, beaten up, and had little to no sleep or food but just kept on keeping on was a bit too much for me.

Grave Peril- this book began the whole ramping up of the series, at least for me.

Summer Knight- I'm somewhere around 200 pages in and really getting excited about this series. I'm not sure that I like the fact that a certain person showed up alive and well but we will have to see how that plays out.

When I posted to Goodreads that I had read Storm Front I read some of the reviews and one of the first reviews is a really negative one by a member named Siria (sp?). The tone of the review seemed angry but things get really entertaining when you read the comments section. I plan to read all the Dresden books this year but with all the other books on my to-read list I might only get to one or two a month but I will keep an update in this thread of where I'm at.

Summer Knight is where the series launches into the stratosphere. The stakes get higher and the world expands way beyond what I think even Butcher intended when he wrote Storm Front.

Glad you and your sister both like the series. There's a ton ahead for you.

When the hell is the next one out? It's been an age since the last one.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Butcher is writing Peace Talks right now.

Remember that he had the Aeronaut's Windlass book released in September of 2015? Well, he went into Peace Talks after a break and it's going.

End of Disc One you missed out then because the review and comment section was infuriatingly funny. The best part of the review is where she says that Harry overpowered Bianca solely because she was embarrassed that he knew she was ugly under her "beautiful woman mask". I also want to report that my sister is a full addict of the books. She just ordered the last few books that are out and admitted she felt sad that she had to wait for them to be delivered. When I reminded her that some people started reading from the beginning and had to wait between books she gasped and mumbled about how she couldn't even imagine. Ha I am excited to catch up.
