Sure. Sure. But why exactly does he have to cut and paste that into a post? Does he not have some sort of Excel/Word/notebook/wax and stylus onto which he can insert - and crucially, keep track of - such things?

Because it's on thread so it's visible to everyone I suppose. If someone came out and said 'player X had increased their post count from 5 to one of the top posters' there is a baseline post to go from rather than going back and count the posts from the preceding days? (or worse, having scum convincingly make it up). It may not be terribly useful in the long run but, let's be honest, there are a number of pointless posts, at least this one is trying to be useful.

Yeah, a bit. Though scum might also want to hide behind their new alts. I think it could go either way. Scum might want to know previous alts to rekindle old cases that keep pressure on those not on their team, but also might want to hide them if they are on a scum team

I don't know if it's particularly scummy to suggest, it would be useful in a smaller game. I think Gait's "joke vote" is worse. But I don't particularly care for the WIFOM and meta that's going to get thrown up trying to prove everyone's claim is true. Gait was the second or third person to "reveal" and was lying. Other people may lie more convincing than Gait did. It would get messy fast, I suspect. It opens up too many opportunities for scum to wreak havoc though, partly because there's so many of us.

I think we should at the very least lynch Gait first, who has been behaving weirdly and got caught lying about his previous alt, and see how we go from there.

If we're talking about sharing previous alts, I think that's a tricky proposition. I agree with Rashan, it will be far too easy for scum to sow confusion if we're all sharing.
