So was ol' Ampelas here right about being cautious about what role PMs tell us about if people are town or scum? Most seemed to assume (including myself, really) that the former Isabelle Paix was town. Although the Praetor doesn't look particularly scummy either in all honesty. But there we are.

Skintick:

Quote

Publius Servilius Casca– Brutii

You are Brutus' lefthand man and were the first man to attack Caesar, but didn't manage to strikehim down. In fact, in your nerves, you almost betrayed the conspiracy to Caesarthe day before the murder, but since you stabbed him, you feel you will have torely on Brutus to survive.

Passive Power: you willlearn the identity of every single recruit in your faction, and you will knowwhen they are recruited by another faction. You cannot be recruited by otherfactions.

Night Power: you cansend the mod a 1-line message and the name of an alt who is part of yourfaction. At the end of the night, the alt will receive the message, but notyour identity.

Galayn Lord:

Quote

You are the king Squid,a fearsome and massive squid found in the river Moth. To quote the famous, andquite mad, squidologist, Frederick Madnok: "[the king Squid] is mythical, and to some of the misguided, divine. It is, to more practical souls, a finemeal with a side of potatoes and a glass of brandy" . The important thingis that you're 150 feet long mass of tentacles, arms and muscles that weigh inexcess of 5000 pounds. Your skin can take on any pattern or colour, and caneven spell letters and repeat patterns. Which is how you're able to walk thecity of Ambergris without causing panic and mayhem. Is that a house with astreet vendor selling apples? No it's your camouflage. You are in the citydoing research. It's important that you're not noticed.

You are of the innocentfaction. It benefits you for Ambergris to stay as it is. You have a 1 hit BP.Any finder that targets you will automatically die as you're not keen on beingnoticed.

My instinctive assumption is that Skintick is scum (as I thought already :D ), and that Galayn Lord is not - that one explictly says innocent. Thoughts?

I'm still stuck at the 1 hour speed lynch followed by 4 NKs. And it still isn't day yet?!

I'm thinking that the first couple of days either scum weren't on their game and didn't put their orders in, or there have been a whole load of BPs and other things to work through.

Most likely.

Either that or let's go back to taking 30 hours to lynch 'cause we only had 1 NK. Apparently scum are easily bored. (Yeah, yeah, I know. He's right. But I like the idea of easily bored scum.)

Office inside the Matrix
Agent Smith: Have you ever stood and stared at it, marveled at it's beauty, it's genius? Billions of people just living out their lives, oblivious. Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world. Where none suffered. Where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed that we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering. The perfect world would dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization. I say your civilization because as soon as we started thinking for you it really became our civilization which is of course what this is all about. Evolution, Morpheus, evolution, like the dinosaur. Look out that window. You had your time. The future is our world, Morpheus. The future is our time.
Agent Brown: There could be a problem...

On the Nebuchadnezzar
Neo: What are they doing to him.
Link: Breaking into his mind. It's like hacking into a computer, all it takes is time.
Neo: How much time?
Link: Depends on the mind. Eventually it will crack and his alpha patterns will change from this to this. When it does, Morpheus will tell them
anything they want to know.
Neo: Well what do they want.
Link: The leader of every ship is given codes to Zion's mainframe computer. If an agent got the codes and got into Zion's mainframe, they could
destroy us. We can't let that happen.
Neo: Trinity.
Link: Zion's more important than me or you or even Morpheus.
Neo: Well there has to be something that we can do.
Link: There is. We pull the plug.
Trinity: You're going to kill him? Kill Morpheus?
Link: We don't have any other choice...
-----

Cellular
Link: Got him! He's on the run.
Neo: Mr. Wizard, get me the hell out of here.
Link: Got a patch on an old exit, Wabash and Lake.

Neo: Oh shit.... Help. Need a little help.
Link: The door....

Link: Door on your left. No, you're other left.... Back door.

On the Nebuchadnezzar
Trinity: Oh no.
Morpheus: Here they come.... He's going to make it.

Cellular
Link: Fire escape at the end of the alley. Room 303.

On the Nebuchadnezzar
Link: They're inside.
Trinity: Hurry, Neo.

Neo can hear the PHONE RINGING.

305... 304...

Agent Brown reaches the broken window behind him just as
Neo grabs the handle of 303, throwing open the door to
find --

Agent Sniith, waiting, .45 cocked.

Neo can't move -- can't think --

BOOM.

Neo's body jerks, and everyone hears it as the life
monitors snap flat-line.

Trinity screams. Morpheus is frozen in disbelief.

Morpheus: Can't be.

Three holes in his chest, Neo falls to the blue shag
carpeting, blood smearing down the wallpaper.

Agent Smith stands over him, still aiming, taking no
chances.

Hotel
Agent Smith: Check him.
Kneeling beside him, Agent Brown checks his vital signs.
Agent Brown: He's gone.
Agent Smith smiles, standing over him.
Agent Smith: Goodbye, Mr. Anderson.

On the Nebuchadnezzar
Through the lasered opening, Morpheus screams, blasting
away at the machines; comet-wads of plasma burning holes
in their armored housings.

Trinity collapses onto Neo's body.

Trinity: Neo, I'm not afraid anymore. The Oracle to ld me that I would fall in love, and that man, the man who I loved would be the one. And so you see, you can't be dead. You can't be, because I love you. You hear me? I love you...
Now get up.

Neo's eyes snap open.

Trinity screams as the monitors jump back to life. Tank
and Morpheus stare, unbelieving.

Hotel
The One: No.

On the Nebuchadnezzar
Link: How?
Morpheus: He is The One.

Trinity: Neo !!!

Ruse (Mentalist) is dead. He was The Jester and Neo.

The Jester faction has been wiped out.

Night 4 is over.

The Matrix is Reloading. Please standby for your new alts.

For those of you who did not play the matrix game, when Neo dies The Matrix is reloaded, and all active alts are scrambled. I have now changed the passwords of all active alts. The active alts will be randomized and re-assigned to all active players. All PMs will be deleted from the alts before they are assigned. You will continue to play in your new alt with the same role, characteristics, etc that you had before. Lover convos will be re-established between the same roles/players (different alts). You can also use your inactive alts to read your main meta-role PM, as they should still be included in it.

This will take a fair bit of work, so it may take a while before you get your new alt.

PMs with the new alt and password will be sent to your main forum account. Once you have your new alt and password, you can begin chatting on-thread once again.

I will announce when I have finished re-assigning all the active alts.

If you are still signed into your active alt somehow (I guess you can do that even after I changed the password?) please sign out now.

It seems this would be an appropriate time for a small administrative announcement:

While manipulating settings in the Admin Panel, I have enabled the "forced invisible sign-in" for the Game Alts group. This means you no longer need to select to be signed in as invisible, it will happen regardless. This change is not necessarily permanent but in the meantime, enjoy!

Cool!

Any way we can force-delete cookies for the game alts or something like that so that people cannot accidentally re-open ME logged into their old alts (from Korlat/Amp's messaging, seems they were not kicked out when I changed their passwords)?

Theoretically I can force log-outs board-wide by resetting the site cookies. Not very elegant, but it would work. You want?

Everyone should have received a PM with their "new" alt and password in their main forum login's inbox. Let me know if you didn't!

Everyone will be getting in their new alt a quick current-status update, but otherwise I'm not planning to send a lot of PMs over - for the most part you can check your old PMs in your other alts, which have not changed. I can do some special requests if they aren't too long, though.

Oh awesome, looks like I can just add your new alts to your existing role convos, so I will do exactly that
