I ain't gonna meta this up, but your grammar is far too terrible to be one of the more common users of that smiley. I'd wonder why you were trying to hide, but then that'd be meta.

Oh, I'm sorry, I mus't missed the memo saying "only these players are allower to use certain smileys". So sorry, i'll make sure to never do it again, :p

So... the two town teams. Flavor or not? Both win as all-around "town", unlike scum teams.

Flavor = Just to name them after the Malazan writers.

Non-flavor = Grouped together in some pattern for a reason.

I'm leaning non-flavor right now because it makes no sense.

1. I don't know, that there is some sense of the grouping's roles. Might be reading too much into it.

2. Two town teams win together the way I read it, despite being separate "factions," scum have to eliminate one another.

This is such a non-townie statement, btw.

Ok.

Sorry guys, I'll just suck at being town over here while the rest of you continue to be aces at it.

it's easy to do a good job as townie on Day 1.

step 1: read the motherfucking manual :p

Step 2: don't act like a dumbass. :p

vote D'riss.

There's nothing better to go on, and if he's a stupid townie, welll, then maybe respawning will make him actually read the thread before posting.

Edited, b/c i'm too tired to remember it's "sofa" not :couch:

Hello Hello

I think this is our last check in?
I am headed out for a bit but will be back well before lynch. Not sure what the case on ryll is. I am leaning towards eloth or d'riss. I'll catch up when I return and lay my vote.

Bendan Home accused Ryl of symping Fanderay. because Ryl voted Fanderay before voting started, despite PS clearly saying "votes don't count yet"

So, from that BH is drawing the idea that Ryl was signalling.

Which really only makes sense if Fanderay is scum, and Ryl is the symp. Scum killers would proabably be aware of each other and wouldn't need to signal (unless it were "distancing votes", in which case they failed on an epic scale)

So, really, BH should be pushing a case on Fanderay as being signalled to. Not Ryl for signalling.

Also, daymn, that's a lot of D alts. Tiam clearly only had a few letters she liked to get funky with.

There is essentially nothing I can say about the signalling case. All I will say is that I can't speak for the actions of others.

In terms of the other cases, we have D'riss for not reading the thread, and Eloth for too much speculation about FMs.

I agree that we need to get this ball rolling soonish to get a lynch in, and with 81 roles we definitely want to be lynching every day or this game is going to go on forever...

I'm not seeing much against D'riss. Not reading the thread is annoying, but not really scummy. I guess at this stage in the game we can afford to lynch on the basis of 'annoying', but I would rather vote Eloth. At least it's a start.

Vote Eloth.

Anyone else getting Jester-like vibes from Aranthana? I just finished reading the thread and the continual posting of shit to try to incite people seems pretty blatant, without actually going after anyone, like Bendal is doing.

I don't know - pretending to be a Jester would be good cover for scum. Which in turn would be good cover for a Jester, pretending to be scum pretending to be a Jester.

And that's fine, but I would think anyone pretending to be a jester should be worried about finds/NKs.

Going over the thread the only thing that sticks out to me vote wise right now is eloth and his FM obsession.

And even that is pretty weak.

Nope to number two. From the OP:

Quote

Out of the four town or scum factions, only one faction can win.

Possibly the towns don't have to eliminate each other - it may just come down to which town has more survivors at the end of the game.

Town needs to have a majority. Both towns can't have a majority at the same time...

So essentially, if only the two town teams remain...it becomes like a straight up (ish) faction game.

Also, a thought on the PS shenanigans with the weird comments of tax collectors, leveling up, and MH: These all seem to be game starting points of a sort. The first two are automatic to the introduction of those games, indicating that characters (not necessarily any one in particular) from those two mafias are in play. As for the MH statement, that would have me guessing that the man himself is in play given that the scene comes from the middle of the day and is tailored to match how many more lives the player would have in this game (namely 3).

Those announcements all came relatively early in the game and assuming that PS makes the announcements once a player has decided for a role where it is relevant, I suspect that the tax collector and MH are among the people who checked in early. Not that that helps us, since we have no clue, what faction those roles would be.

And with that glorious last note, I'm done for the evening. Won't be around for lynch.

("That's not townie behavior." Rabble rabble rabble.)

Toodles.

And after it has just been pointed out that it will be hard to get a lynch you choose to leave without a vote.

vote D'riss

PS, you've split the votes on Eloth. Deliberate? I'm ready to believe anything in this game :p

This is the list of names in the last PS update before we got the Tax Collector and Meng Huo updates:

Ampelas, Aranatha, Demelain, Eloth, Fanderay, Karosis, Korbas, Liosan, Mockra, Prazec Goul, Ryllandaras, Skintick, Tulas Shorn, Ultama.

Which may or may not put paid the my idea that Denesmet is one of the double alts.

I don't think Denesmet is one of the double alts. After all, why would you concentrate on just one alt without having the other writing at least a check in post? I think it's more likely that someone just told PS his alt order and then had no time to post in the game thread.

I would prefer a lynch over a no lynch. You make a good point Ultama why is D'riss ready to abstain from voting?

A few thoughts I have had whilst reading up. The first is that the people spamming the thread are more likely to be in the "levelling" up category. We have no way of knowing whether they are town or scum aspected. Meng Huo is an interesting one. One of the permutations I thought of was that he is one of the independent roles like the survivor. One role he is Meng Huo with 3 lives, then he has a second role with LP's or BP's and then he has another role with something similar.

Regarding Bendal Home playing aggressive and antagonistic. Does anyone remember the game when Fener got stronger the more people voted for him? I don't think a jester would play the way BH is playing because that just draws night actions towards him. So that Fener role came to mind, thoughts?

Eloth proposes the post less strategy to combat the levelling system. With no way of knowing whether this affects your faction I don't see this as a viable strategy. Only an independent may think this way. That combined with all his posts on the FM makes me want to lean towards an Eloth lynch.

I'm caught up for today. While I agree that it is important to lynch with so many of us, why the hell is D'riss not voting?! I'm thinking he doesn't want to participate in the discussions for some reason. I could see him coming in at the end and dropping a hammer vote so he can prove he's "participating".
