Modkills, if imposed, may remove only one life and role of a player if the mods are feeling lenient. Or, the mods may choose to immediately remove the player from the game.

That just says that there are likely FMs in the game, not that it MUST be the SK. Let's not make assumptions, even if you may be correct.

Why are you so determined to talk us out of thinking the SK role could be an FM?

As to the recent FM talk, it would seem difficult to alt jump when the player gets to respawn the next morning.

This is a good point regarding a FM mechanic. If a person rerolls, and their old alt is still alive, that would make being a FM very difficult. .

I agree. Like I said, I figure if the teams are all equal that it's more likely to be something along the lines of two 3 person scum teams with two 9 person town teams and the 3 indies.

I was thinking along the same lines. A lot of the games that were linked from the first post were M&P games. I suppose it's possible that there are some paired killers, or RI townies, but from what we have been told about the setup, I think it's more likely that everyone has 3 roles with abilities.

Well yeah, there are too many games listed to match up with the number of players. That said, I'd think that many/most of those games would include roles in this one.

That mexican standoff game had a lady who was RI (if I recall), so it bypasses the lack of a standoff mechanic,

Oh man, every time I think I'm caught up something new happens!

The mods have already said that this game is not balanced. So all this speculation on teams and roles is very interesting, but I'm not sure whether it is useful or not. This seems to be the kind of game where we only learn everything at the very end when we make it to spoiler heaven.

"Not balanced" would be a mis-leading way of putting it, as that brings to mind crazy CFUM games with experimental mechanics that are nigh-impossible for some sides to win.

I'd go with "unstable" for this game - it looks pretty okay on paper at the start, but there's just so MUCH in there that it'd be so easy for an unlucky streak to ruin a bunch of the more powerful roles in one faction and cripple it entirely.

It's like a ball on a hill, once it gets a bit of a push in one direction it might start accelerating that way faster and faster. And then a nuke might go off just beneath it and send it completely back to the other side, where an octopus grabs it from the air and eats it. Right?
