Dawn breaks over the crystal dome. Sparks of sun rays catch a ride down to the yard, where an epic battle has just taken place. The ground burnt, the fountain destroyed, even nearby buildings have gaping holes in them. Peter stands, exhausted, over the unmoving shape of Sylar. With him is Jessica, her stance aggressive and taunting. Hiro is just behind them, with wonder in his face. The company all comes running, guns pointed. "You're too late."

Sudden realization; they no longer have to guess who everybody is, it's enough to look at their faces. Is it over? Suddenly a car is closing in. A guys with a fedex packages jumps out. "Is there a Mr. Bob Bishop here?" "Yes." "Sign here, sir." Bob opens the package. It contains a cd and a note: Dome should be open now - account information for sending money is on the cd. M & S. "What is it?" "Do they really expect money?" "M&S?" Bob sighs. "That would be Marty and Stu..."

Tulas Shorn is dead. He was Sylar.

After a month of ceasefire, the Yan, Xia and White Riders renewed their war with a great fury. Despite the month's respite, it soon became the bloodiest year of the conflict so far.

However, news of these northern battles was completely overshadowed by the events occuring in the west...

Tall, raven-haired, fierce-tempered and usually sitting above a crowd of cowering officials, the spreading word of Lady Zhang's ascension was confident in her ability to rule rather than doubting her competence. The general populace gossiped with great enthusiasm about what great changes would soon be coming to the Lu Dynasty. Her first order of business, however, was military rather than civil.

"I don't care if he's conquered Jiang Xia!" she was shouting at her generals. "He could conquer Xin Du, Eight Fan and Jian Ye in the same day and I wouldn't care! Get Wei Xu back here so I can rip his head off, figuratively, or I'll rip your heads off! Literally!"

She was about to start another tirade when horns began sounding from the city walls. Jia Kui, the son of Jia Xu, dashed to the entrance and shouted back to the rest of the court "A horde of cavalry is descending from the mountains! They bear the banner of Ma Chao!"

"They've broken through our western front!" Lady Zhang shouted as she rose, then turned to her generals, "Gao Pei, launch a harassing squadron of cavalry from the south gate immediately. Yang Huai, take the palace guards and reinforce the western gate. Ma Chao will try to break in there." A shout came from Jia Kui: "Empress, Xiliang warriors have just broken through the palace gates! Run!" Before Jia Kui could turn away an arrow struck him in the throat and he collapsed. The officials panicked and the generals drew their swords, beckoning Lady Zhang to flee by the rear entrance. Windows in the courtroom exploded inwards as black-robed figures leaped into the room and began cutting down officials with long knives as they advanced towards the Empress.

At the frist signs of trouble, Lady Zou had rushed to the rear door and opened it, coming face to face with a short, plain man dressed as an officer and bearing a double-sided sword. Taking advantage of his surprise, Lady Zou slammed the door and dropped the cross brace into place just as heavy battering of the door began from the other side. She held herself against the door, trying desperately to keep it closed while she saw the black-clothed assassins reach the throne.

Lady Zhang's bodyguards had stepped forward to confront the assassins, and so were easy targets of the poisoned darts shot by flanking assassins hidden in the shadows. The trio in the center then leaped forwards at the Empress, who kicked her table upwards into them mid-leap and then, producing a knife from... somewhere... cut the assassins' throats in mid-fall. As she ducked the darts which were fired at her right after, she grabbed the daggers of the assassins at her feet and as she rose hurled them into the shadows where grunts of disbelief were heard, followed by the thumps of falling bodies.

Still holding back the door, Lady Zou was in a great vantage to see Lady Zhang face the crowd of assassins, Xiliang warriors, Lu generals and cowering court officials mixing below. From behind the Empress, one of the cowering handmaidnes suddenly straightened, pulling a pair of dao out of her long sleeves, and padded toward the Empress without a whisper of sound. Lady Zou screamed a warning just as the top of the door broke inwards. It was enough for the man beyond to see both Lady Zou holding back the door and the handmaiden strike out at the Empress, who had heard the warning and leaped low between her attacker's legs, dodging the dao and hamstringing her foe in one move.

"No! Yunlu!" came a great cry from the non-descript man, then his great sword was thrust through the planks of the door, breaking the cross beam and disembowling Lady Zou. The honourary Empress Dowager collapsed to the floor and from there she saw Lady Zhang beaten down by a rush of Xiliang warriors from the courtroom floor. Then she died, her heart filled with grief and sorrow.

The Eriksonian Faction have all perished.

Well that all turned out better than expected.

And no, I knew there was another out there. But I didn't want Sukul to think there was one. I wanted Sukul to think that they really had nothing to play for :)

The only person I know nothing about is Korvalain. And then there is our inscrutable friend Kessobahn, who I supposedly know something about, but it could be lies. I'm going to check on something.

Hentos, I assume you have at least one LP? :p

Mistborn:

Alignment:

You are the Mistborn of House Venture/Elariel/Deveaux

You hold the contract of the Kandra X

You are a Mistborn, the most influencial member of your house, due to your ability to burn all known allomantic metals.

Equipment:

Two pieces of Tin
Two pieces of Pewter
Unlimited pieces of Iron
Three pieces of Steel
Single piece of Zinc
Single piece of Brass
Unlimited pieces of Copper
Two pieces of Bronze
Single piece of Atium

Actions:

Each night you may submit to the mods the combination of metals that you wish to swallow (excluding Atium), as well as the targets for each metal's allomantic effect should it have one. Each allomantic metal is used in the same manner as it would be by a Misting, with the following exceptions:

You may not burn Copper and Bronze simultaneously.
You dont not require a shield to protect yourself using Iron.

Burning Atium allows you to see all the possible actions someone might make in the immediate future. You will keep your Atium on your person and only use it in the following situations: If an attempt on your life is made by another Mistborn or a member of the Steel Inquisition, if a recruitment attempt is made on you by a member of the Steel Inquisition or if you attempt to take the life of a member of the Steel Inquisition.

If you wish, you may have your Kandra impersonate someone that you have killed. However, you must give your Kandra sufficient warning and must submit the name of the intended victim to mods the night before the kill and subsequent impersonation takes place. The mods will relay the message to your Kandra. You may not attempt to kill on a night that you submit an impersonation order to the mods.

If you attempt to take the life of a member of the Steel Inquisition, their role will be revealed to you. Should you not have Atium and die in the attempt, it will be revealed to your Kandra.

If D'rek kept his role almost as is, Okral could basically perform every action. Although he did presumably have limitations on how many times he could do it (for example, TIn equates to a Find, so he could do finds twice).

Sukul was equally interesting:

Kain, Vampire, Scourge of the circle

has 1 full BP (uses heart of Darkness)
has 1 additional NK BP (mist form)
once every 3 nights (full moon) can send out 2 kills (lupine form)

That's how he managed to survive the lynch, he had a full BP. The once every three night he had two kills thing might actually explain Korabas' death? Will have to check when it happened in relation to Sukul's appearance.

Although, I now wonder, considering Prazec's last posts where he referred to lupine forms, did Sukul send both kills against Tulas last night? If so, cheers!

If we don't lynch him, then we can talk about killing off Dejim.

It's not as pressing now, but if we again find ourselves with seeming no way of killing the SK, we might have to resort to whatever Dejim planned. But lynching Dejim is certainly like, Plan D right now.

Heh, Hentos, imagine if you'd killed Okral when you were Tulas - that would have been unbelievable :)
Okay, someone help me with my maths please.

Sukul arrived on Day 15. If they get two kills every third night then that means they should have had the ability on...night 17, right? That was the night on which they claimed to have targetted Korvalain and were guarded.

In any case, it means that they didn't use a hypothetical second kill on Korabas, because that death happened on night 15, Sukul's first night of life.

So I reckon this is our situation. We've got two scum amongst us, and, if it's Kessobahn who's the Goodie, then that means that both those scum are on their second alt. I think we need to try and lynch Hentos. The likelihood is that he'll have some sort of protection, but as we found out with Tulas Shorn, the longer we leave him the worse it'll likely get. So I think we've got to try. I would further suggest, if the possibility is there, NKing Kessobahn in the night. If we're wrong, he'll have another alt to come back in.

We could switch the two around (lynch Kesso, try and NK Hentos if possible), but Hentos is the only one we know with absolute certainty is scum. Or, at least, the only one I know with absolute certainty is scum. If anyone has more info, now is the time.

Kesso, you don't want to perchance make a case for yourself not being scum - or on the other hand come clean and offer to lend a hand taking out the SK?

If what Sukul said about when their recruiter died is true, then Korvalain cannot be scum, because as Barghast he died after the Goodie recruiter (I think, have to double check), and he was town back then.

So: Sukul said that their faction's recruiter died on night 7. The Goodkinder who died on Night 7 was Alkend. Here is their role:

View Postalt146, on 17 October 2010 - 03:05 PM, said:

Steel Inquisitor:

Alignment:

You are a member of the Steel Inquisition.

Equipment:

Unlimited Steel Spikes
Unlimited Bronze Spikes

Actions:

You have access to all the hemalurgic equivalent allomantic powers, and you may submit a combination of any three to be used each night to the mods, as well as the target of each power should it have one. You will perform the equivalent of burning Copper every night by default. Should you use the equivalent to Steel, you attempt to kill your target using either a Bronze or Steel spike. The successful completion of a kill results in the creation of a hemalurgically charged spike.

Once you have two or more hemalurgic spikes in your possession you may attempt to create another Inquisitor and swell your ranks. The type and placement of the spikes in your victim will determine the powers of the resulting Inquisitor. Steel spikes may imbue one of either iron, steel, tin or pewter per spike. Bronze spikes may imbue one of copper, bronze, brass or zinc per spike. You may choose to use more than two spikes if you wish to grant additional powers to your recruit, or place additional spikes in your recruit at a later stage. No other actions may be performed on the night that you places spikes. Your recruit will still have access to any allomantic powers they originally possessed, but their original powers will still be fueled by allomantic metals. Should you grant the ability to kill to your recruit he will be unable to use it unless you die. Your supply of spikes will be passed on to your first recruit in the event of your death.

Should your life be threatened at night, you will attempt to kill your attacker. This may result in your identity being revealed to your attacker, or a member of their faction. You can only be forced out of the game through a successful lynch. Your recruit will not have this ability.

**Mod's note: If a Seeker or Mistborn is given the hemalurgic equivalent of Bronze, their ability doubles up and they will be able to pierce Copperclouds**

That is, indeed, a recruiter.

Thus, if the Goodkinders had just the one recruiter (likely?) Korvalain CANNOT be a Goodkinder, because he CF'd as town when Barghast died on night 12. So I think it has to be Kessobahn who is the final Goodkinder.

A final thing to note: Had any of us paid attention to Alkend's role PM, we could have called Tulas' bullshit on the Goodkinder recruiter much much sooner. Live and learn, I guess. Or, as happened for most afterwards, die horribly and learn :)

Why are you not voting the SK people? We have to kill him fast and burning through any LPs he might have is the best way to do this...
I think Kesso might be scum but I would like us to try lynching SK first.
