So yes, CF did accidentally send me a PM meant for twelve. In essence, he was gloating about you going in Beta Leonis and talking about what upgrades he would make now to make sure he beat you.

Which, I have to say, seems to entirely miss the point of why you went there. I don't think either of us are under much illusion regarding your chances with what EM left you.

He was then also hoping that you would move your dread into Beta Leonis too, and not to Mu Arae, thus not hindering twelve. So basically, like we said before, moving that dread to the vicinity of Mu Arae seems sensible.


He ended his message with MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA - which gave me a very long chuckle (sorry CF!)


I will build again this turn. I'm just not sure where. Any thoughts?

Unless he did this on purpose to free up more ships moving from Beta Leonis into you or me for that matter. Think of it this way, if I don't move my dread into Beta Leonis he can move three ships out, two to pin my two starbase and then a third into undefended hexes, this would gain them more vc's to work against you.

I'd suggest you try and pin as many ships as possible, so build two starbases and 4 interceptors in your outer hexes, I don't know where Twelve has moved to though, ask D'rek for a map update when she has any time to do such a thing.

Haha, you vastly overestimate my resources

D'rek hasn't updated the boards. I have no more starbases left to build - I put the last two in my homeworld. I can build a dreadnaught; or a cruiser and an interceptor; or three interceptors.

Yeah if you have used up your starbases then you have 12 materials left. You won't win battles against Twelve but you can pin him possibly.

Always my intention. Basically, damage control - I haven't been offensive in this entire game, I can hardly start now. I do have a couple more tricks up my sleeve for gaining VPs though.

I'm wondering whether I should place ships in the shellworld hex, in case twelve/CF break through (as is probably likely).

you can gloat all you want, first game here. I didn't know until day 4 I had to pick stuff out of the supply depot. I thought I could research whatever, whenever I liked. I didn't understand a lot of stuff. Next game i'll play a lot better and I doubt you'll win, i'll doubt i'll win as well but you also. You haven't quite won this one yet.
